Yesterday (Sunday), I had a relaxing meal with a friend and ordered the most expensive seafood platter on the menu (€128), along with a fresh juice (€6). To my shock, when the juice was served, there were three small white insects inside—long-shaped, with little black dots on their heads. They looked like maggots, and were clearly visible. I immediately called the waitress and pointed them out. She saw them too, took the glass away, and later told me it was the last cup of that juice. Eventually, I changed to a fresh strawberry juice. However, what disappointed me the most was the restaurant’s attitude. No one explained what happened, no one apologized, and no compensation or goodwill gesture was offered. I ended up paying the full bill, despite this unpleasant experience. I honestly don't understand such a careless attitude toward a serious hygiene issue. I spent a lot of money, and what I got were three bugs in my drink and a completely ruined mood. It was extremely disgusting, but the worst part was the silence from the staff—no explanation, no apology, nothing. I’m quite upset and feel that a restaurant of this level should treat customers with more respect and responsibility. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this...
Read moreCaution, tourist-trapp! We ordered a table for the evening - very friendly lady. The Starters were okay, good oysters from Setúbal, fresh garlic-shrimps. But served without any bread. The time up the Next course was more than an hour! We have had ordered turbot for two with vegetables - instead we've got halibut in the bacalhau-version, dry and fibrozy like a beermat. The Spinach was dry like hay, I wondered how to scrutinize that. A cow should have some pleasure with it. The wineglasses were never refilled, to call the Service to close that scene needed another 20 minutes, the amount including a bottle of average white wine was 108 Euros. All this is undiscussible, a proof of incompetence and unprofessionality. Beware...
Read moreI went to Azul at the end of April, 2022. The location is awesome and the place really beautiful. However, the service was very slow and the food mediocre. I ate the garlic shrimp, they were over cooked and tasteless. I also ate the sapateira (crab). The filling was so salty I couldn't eat it, the crab itself was O.K. I also ordered French fries which did't arrive with the food. Later, another waiter told us the order was not placed with the rest of the food. The fries came after we ate, and they were very good. Wine and beer glasses glasses and beer were generous. This restaurant has a very touristic location, but for me, a...
