PAY ATTENTION TO THE NEW PRICES!!

Samurai Tamashii is a decent, well established japanese food restaurant known for it's "all you can eat" menu.

They underwent a major rebranding recently and not only did the decoration and image of the restaurant drastically change, the prices also went up.

Forget about the pictures posted here on Google Maps of the 16/18€ priced buffets.

Nowadays they charge 24,5€ for the all you can menu, a fact that i was totally unaware of untill i got there.

The truth is the restaurant is simply stunning with the new decorations, the walls, the ceilings look amazing and overall it's an extremely pleaseant place to eat.

The sushi is good in comparison with other restaurants of the same sort and the dishes come beautifully arranged and wrought in elaborate pieces of kitcheware.

The drinks are terribly overpriced even for the standards of this types of restaurants.

The 0,48l pint costs a whopping 5,2€!!!

A small soda can (0,33cl) 2,90€!!

I get that they must make money but this only forces the clients to restrict themselves from drinking at their leisure to avoid a punitive tab which takes away some of the experience.

The staff is nice and tries to be helpful but the communication could be improved a bit.

In the end, Samurai Tamashii is a sure-footed choice for sushi and japanese food in general, specially for group dinners but the new prices make other cheaper alternatives stand...

This was my first visit to this Japanese restaurant, and upon entering, I was initially contemplating whether to opt for the buffet or takeaway. The staff at the counter were incredibly friendly and proactively offered to guide us through their menu. In the end, my son decided he'd prefer to enjoy our meal back at the hotel, so we opted for a sushi platter and some rolls to go. Back in our hotel room, I was immediately struck by the beautiful presentation of the takeaway. The arrangement of the food was truly artistic, prompting me to take photos before even tasting it! The sashimi was incredibly fresh, and even the sushi rice was exceptionally delicious. It was a genuinely delightful experience, exceeding my expectations. What made it even better was the reasonable price point and the outstanding service we received. This unexpected positive experience has definitely made a lasting impression. I'll certainly be considering a return visit...

We have just discovered Sushi having previously considered it overpriced designer food for the fool easily parted from his eating out budget.

Since being dragged kicking and screaming to our first Sushi restaurant we have discovered a wealth of different flavours and options where you can eat to belly busting proportions without that carb laden hangover.

For the sushi newbies we would recommend sushi buffets which offer eat-as-much-as-you-like options as this way you get to experience the widest range of options to refine your shortlist of favourites.

Our favourite so far is Samurai which is always busy resulting in a high turnover of sushi meaning every dish is fresh from the chef's knife.

Another advantage of Samurai is they have a Mongolian BBQ stir fry station with a wide selection of seafood and meat proteins and abundance of veggies all fried expertly by the chef and delivered back to your table.

Highly...

They just changed the whole concept of the restaurant and that is no good. There are dozens os restaurants like this one now. Before they had an advantage (even if the decoration was not great before). It’s now with a beautiful atmosphere and decoration but it was a great buffet restaurant and now it’s not. The complex system of ordering food works well enough, although there’s a learning curve. But you’ll spend half of the time in your phone ordering. That’s no good at all. The prices are much more expensive as well. But I would be fine with it if it had the great buffet from before (including dessert as before). The food has gotten with better dishes and decorative but worst. It’s really a shame such a great buffet restaurant is now similar to so many others, with no special appeal (given their buffet was awesome). I’ll probably won’t return. They just needed to have the buffet back and it would be much better.
