I recently visited Baixa Kebab and Grill in Lisbon, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. First and foremost, the donner kebab was utterly tasteless, lacking any of the rich, savoury flavours one would expect from a dish of its kind. To add to the disappointment, the spicy sauce that accompanied the kebab was overwhelmingly acidic, evidently overpowered by vinegar, which completely threw off the balance of flavours.
Furthermore, the bread which served as the foundation of the kebab was inedible. It was so tough and unyielding, I found it impossible to enjoy what should have been a soft and pleasant addition to the meal. Lastly, the quality of the meat in the donner was deeply concerning. It bore an unsettling resemblance to pigeon meat in both texture and appearance, raising serious questions about the standard of ingredients used.
Overall, my visit to Baixa Kebab and Grill was a regrettable experience, marked by subpar food quality and a severe lack of attention to what defines a good kebab. It's an establishment I cannot recommend, especially to those who cherish authentic and...
Read moreCustomer service was zero. Very snarky and rude. I didn't like that I felt robbed. I ordered the doner and Batata separately but when I saw the sign of the deal for $7.90, which included a drink, I asked if I could get the drink with it, having paid more than what the deal was worth. I was told that the "summer" deal was not yet valid until next week (not on the sign) by the cooks, and from the server I was told that it was in the system and could not be changed, as well as that the "quantities were different". She then told me it's only in the afternoon to shut me up (not advertised on the sign), which is inconsistent with what the cooks said, and what she had initially said. Both of which I believe were lying. I wasn't asking for money back, I was asking to have the cocktail included since I paid more than the deal anyhow. In particular the server with glasses was very rude and uninviting. I wouldn't recommend any tourist, but particular anyone of a darker complexion to order here. There are much friendlier places that you'll...
Read moreWe are from the Motherland of the Döner Kebab (Germany) ate over 500 Döners each of us, and this sandwich had nothing to do with a real authentic german Döner. First of all, pickles and Tacos have nothing to do in any Döner. There aren‘t enough vegetables and ketchup does not belong in the sandwich, garlic sauce does. The meat also did not meet any normal Dönermeat Standard and the bread was too thin. I would recommend to either look up an authentic recipe or to taste the difference yourselves. The drink selection should have included some turkish drinks such as Çay tea, Ayran and Uludag gazoz. But on a positive note, the waitress was very nice too, so we hope you will improve thanks to our feedback.
