Our first night in Lisboa and we were on the search for a real ale pub. After arriving by tube into the city we tried desperately to find this pub walking through dodgy streets and up hundreds of steps when finally we came across this extraordinary pub in a traditional street with tight knit terraced houses with washing hanging out the windows. It is a cracking pub. We were so relieved to find it and the guy who was running it ( sadly whose name I can’t remember ) was a perfect Portuguese host …. So funny and so knowledgeable and his English was so good. Teenagers were hanging around in the street outside and I’m sure we saw a real life gangster getting into his Mercedes…. Such a cool vibrant area of Lisboa. We absolutely loved it….

UK tourists visiting Lisbon for the week. We spent many nights in the Queens Ale because of its great music, nice atmosphere and incredibly friendly bar staff. On our last night, we had a long conversation about the local area and it was really great. (Shi if you are reading this, we found the place and we sadly did not buy any cowboy boots. It was next to Rossio station, so we’ll show you the next time we’re in town)

A nice corner bar with tasty national craft beers. Friendly bartender from Brazil and UK. Ling tall tables seating with stools. Three sidewalk tall, small tables without stools. Inside silent TV showing league football. Wall-mounted air-con for the 30-degree weather. Variety of draught beers were all clean. Also chilled cans. Good Wi-Fi. Rideshare drivers got close. Tasty chicken empanadas, baked, not fried.

Worst service ever! The guy looked at me and my friend with a pretencious look. Never said Hi or welcomed us. We smiled and said Hi but no replys. My friend ordered a flight of beers and when I asked also for a flight of beers he got impatient and was frustrated for no reason at all. We tried to talk and ask questions about where the beers came from and he said barely five words and always looking outside like we where annoying him. Don't go there, instead i recommend Duque. There fun, they smile and welcome you. They love their work and care about the beer and...

Don't be rude and dismissive if someone asks about a glass of wine. Totally appreciate it's a beer bar. I used to run a craft beer bar myself and you've got to be prepared for all requests. I am normally all over the beer menu and trying different styles and this bar would be great for that ...staff just need to be a bit more hospitable when it comes to other requests! I also witnessed a less than enthusiastic response to another set of customers.

On the plus side my husband really his selection of the Hopsin - Autumn Fog. And the...
