Maybe we were very unlucky. Let's list the things that went wrong, it's almost comical at this point. It's a steakhouse but the waitress could not explain much on the menu besides saying "well, it's beef". We asked if she could get anyone who could give us some explanations about the menu and she came back saying there was nobody available. When asked about what wine she recommended, all she could say was that the house wine was the most popular and she did not really know the others. We picked a wine and looked how they struggled to open the bottle. We never received the starters we had ordered and after an hour our steaks arrived, the Spanish Simenthal was OK, the Portuguese steak was tough and bland, sides were OK, nothing special. Maybe we were unlucky or maybe they cater to people who are just there to eat something while talking to their friends and drinking cocktails or sangria. There is amazing beef in Portugal, why not make a better effort in sourcing that instead of importing Australian Angus and...
Read moreThe meat was simply divine! Really enjoyed it! We wanted the Portuguese sirloin but they didn’t have it, so we tried the black pork “secretos”, good but you can get the same in a typical tasco in Alentejo, so it wasn’t like something of the other world. But really good and totally worth it! My bf really loved the saúde they came with, I prefer without.
We also tried the K.O.B. Ribeye, it was divine, this was without any doubt the best thing for me. Perfectly cooked and super hiper tasty, really loved it.
The fries and the salad were very good.
The chocolate foundant was ok, but not at all worth the 8€ it costs.
And the worst and biggest waste of money was the convert, simply not worth 3€ per person… 3€ ok, but definitely not 6 euros. The butter was standard, you couldn’t really taste the black pepper, and the fuet was ordinary.
It is definitely a place to eat good meat, maybe other appetizers are good, this was just what I tried.
The wine we choose was also very good, Duque de Viseu. I...
Read moreEverything we have tried here so far has been great. The steaks they have are some of the best I've ever eaten and are cooked and seasoned to perfection. We had the Australian picanha Wagyu and it was beyond delicious. Side dishes were great as well. Have been to the Lisbon location a few times and are happy to see the quality in Porto is at the same high standard. The staff is very friendly and make you feel taken care of. Our waiter for the night was a soft spoken, kind an attentive guy. He would always come to us to check if we were in need of something. Very happy to know the looks of the restaurant come with true professionalism. Only small "mishap": they gave us the wrong dessert (chocolate instead of caramel gateau), but we got to keep the wrong one and they brought us the right one promptly, so a non issue for us. Would highly recommend if...
