A Love Letter to Restaurante LSD -
To say I fell in love with the city of Porto and LSD is no exaggeration. This place now holds a permanent, precious place in my heart.
On our first evening in the city, my parents and I wandered down the street, drawn by the sound of live music, serendipitously leading us to you. We stopped at the menu, captivated not just by the food, but by the patio alive with conversation and laughter. Your restaurant spoke to us before a single word was exchanged.
Then your owner greeted us with a warm, heartfelt smile, radiating hospitality. He moved through the crowd with such attentiveness and joy, clearly making each guest feel seen. Though we didn’t have a reservation, he graciously offered us a place to wait and soak up the music and vibrant atmosphere. In just 15–20 minutes, we were seated at a prime patio table for three, feeling like the luckiest people in Porto.
And then came Manel, our server, our guide, our host in every sense. His service was beyond exceptional. With warmth and care, he walked us through the menu, recommending dishes that turned out to be true revelations. He treated us like family, and we saw him do the same for every table he touched.
The food at LSD is unforgettable. It is artful, passionate and alive. Every dish was a masterpiece, visually and in flavor. The Octopus Croquettes and Steak Tartare were rich and exquisite, the Pork Ribs were melt in your mouth tender, and the Seabass with bread and balsamic was a symphony of taste! I must say that LSD and Manel are my favorite memories from the entire trip across multiple cities in England, Portugal, and Italy.
I wish we had eaten every meal there, I’m still dreaming of the dishes we ate and the ones I didn’t get to try. We did return the next evening for cocktails and dessert, and again, LSD delivered magic. The Chocolate Parfait was visually and wildly delicious, and the Old Fashioned was the best I’ve ever had.
My love for LSD and the city of Porto leaves me in a state of saudade. Forever yearning to return. Until next time! Thank you, truly, for the most unforgettable experience of our entire journey. 10/5 stars!
Amor, Kevynn
P.S. We did not take any photos and while I wish I had, I’m even more grateful to have truly absorbed every flavor, every feeling, every second. Leaving me...

I had the most incredible dining experience on Flower Street in Porto! From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with warm smiles and an inviting atmosphere that instantly made us feel at home. The restaurant perfectly balances elegance and comfort - cozy lighting, tasteful decor, and the irresistible aroma of freshly prepared dishes floating through the air.
The food was simply outstanding, every dish bursting with authentic flavor and beautifully presented. You can truly taste the care and creativity that goes into each plate. The ingredients were fresh, the portions generous, and the balance of flavours was perfection. Whether it was the starters, mains, or desserts, everything exceeded expectations.
What truly elevated our evening, though, was our server Manuel. He was exceptional - friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the food and wine. His recommendations were spot on, and his attention to detail made the entire experience unforgettable. Manuel’s warmth and professionalism turned a great meal into an extraordinary one.
If you’re in Porto and looking for a restaurant that combines outstanding cuisine, impeccable service, and a charming atmosphere, this is the place. We’ll definitely be back — and we’ll be asking for Manuel...
Read moreWe were booked for a dinner by our tour company… only when we arrived the restaurant didn't have us on their computer. However, they were very accommodating and got us seated (it turned out later the restaurant's office had gotten our booking but failed to let the restaurant staff know). We had octopus croquettes, a bit light on the octopus, a spring mix salad with fresh sheep's milk cheese and vinaigrette, fall-off-the-bone pork ribs accompanied by roast potatoes (to sop up the sauce) and salad, grilled prawns with a side of dipping sauce, caleirada (vaguely like paella), and oven-baked bacalhau. Bruno, our waiter, answered our questions about the menu with knowledge and humor and even persuades us to order dessert despite our feeling quite satisfied after the main dishes. In addition to walnut cake with sheep-milk gelato and a mousse(?) with a wafer cookie, he insists on serving us—ON THE HOUSE—the only item that has never come off their ever-changing, seasonal menu: chocolate parfait with lots of caramel sauce poured over it right at the table for a dramatic presentation: delicious! THANK YOU Bruno, and...
