I like this pub, this microbrewery, its location is excellent, just behind the presidential palace (joint with a nice hotel Loft) and I like their garden! The beer is fine (I am not the best beer connoisseur) and the food is tasty, I have some favorites dishes. However, what took me by huge negative surprise and extreme disappointment yesterday is that relatively young waitress Hatal*ova who served us, gave a bill where she overcharged us by 3 extra beers (type which we did not even order)! At paying I raised my surprise re the amount, I found the bill to be high for what we ordered, her response was that this was normal, it came like that. I did not want to check the bill in front of my foreign guest, so I checked the bill when we left the restaurant and I found out it was incorrect. So I returned back to ask for the correction and I was expecting her to behave humbly and to apologize, she only said, it is human to make mistakes(!!) Of course it is human to make mistakes (maybe when we gonna have robotic AI waiters it will no longer happen;-)) but when this occurs I would expect to apologize honestly and humbly to the customer and not to behave like nothing happened, it is normal.. I got my money back, but I have to say I was shocked and taken by her behavior and I think this waitress should be ashamed of herself for not being professional & honest (I used to waitress as a student, so I know how the bills are prepared in big pubs, all the orders are always registered by table), so normally such a (human;)) mistake should not...
Read moreWe stayed at the Wilson palace loft hotel. We ate (and drink) at fabrika - its restaurant and bar. Wife had Prosecco and liked it. I had a pint of F12 lager, followed by a pint of w12 white beer and then a pint of F14 American pale ale. All brewed on site! And all delicious. Food was excellent, I had leslovacki ustipci (Balkan style beef fritters with bacon, cheese, chilli, pitta bread and a sauce to die for (roasted pepper cheese spread). The wife had steak with butter cream sauce and fries. We tried each others and both dishes were excellent. We stopped off here again when coming back to hotel after a day of sightseeing. The wife had a glass of passion fruit lemonade (which also tasted and it was sooo good and refreshing), I had the zero % beer (nilio zero power) and very nice it was. We had reserved a table on the first night (Friday) and there were lots of other reserved tables - so I would recommend booking. Now, for a drink (5pm on Saturday) we easily got an outside table with no reservation, but think later it would be busy. Staff were...
Read moreSuch a pity that a place with such a nice atmosphere serves such terrible food. The salad was okay, but nothing special. The beef burger patty had so much pepper that it completely covered the taste. The falafel and hummus dish was a disappointment: the vegetables were dry, as if they had been cut in the morning, and the olives were unacceptable (in my country we would throw them straight in the bin). The boiled eggs made no sense on the plate either. Finally, the service was just as bad, our food took an hour to arrive. First came the dishes for 3 out of 5 people, then the 4th a bit later, and the waitress admitted she had forgotten the 5th one. We had to order it again and wait another 20 minutes. They need to improve a lot before I would consider coming back. By the way, I admit the beers...
