This amazing cozy place literarily made our afternoon. The weather outside was horrible - rainy, windy and cold, but when we entered Pasteleria everything changed. It is a super cozy, very small and extremely charming place where you can enjoy delicious sweet treats and very aromatic, high quality coffee. We had a Poppyseed cheesecake and Lasconka. The cheesecake was incredible - very moderate in sweetness, creamy with this amazing nutty aftertaste. As to the Lasconka - it is a coconut explosion with an amazing chewing and creamy texture filling layered between crunchy merengues. We sat down inside and the table was dirty, the girl that worked there had such a bad attitude towards us because she had to take 30 seconds to clean our table and if it was for me we would have left but my bf wanted to stay. At least the cookie was truly delicious but the service I would give 1 star really. Don’t miss the poppy seed cheesecake if you like poppy and plum jam. But also their chestnut cake is very much worth trying. Ah, and portions are also hearty.
The ambience is cozy while service is friendly.
Make sure you find the place when you go for the first time, we almost missed it: you need to enter an automatic door first straight from Hviezdoslav square.
