Ondori Street Food — Restaurant in Upravna Enota Ljubljana

We have tried several ramen places in Slovenia and this is the one most satisfying. It is by no means the best ramen, particularly if you have eaten the authentic one. But if you are looking for a nice and ordinary Asian meal, this is a place to go. One biggest problem for ramen in Slovenia is that their soup is never hot, sometimes just slight more than room temperature. This one is marginally hot enough. Taste of broth is good. Many people find it tasteless probably because they are too used to extremely heavy taste or artificial flavouring. This broth tends towards the light side and still has real taste. I didn’t feel headache or thirst like I did when I eat MSG or other chemical flavouring. We have both udon and ramen, good texture. Shoyu is too lean but at least available because in another restaurant ran by Japanese they don’t even serve pork (locals don’t like it). Perfect softness of soft-cooked egg but too much soy sauce and too salty. Good portion, variety and quality of side dishes. The waitress worked very hard and being nice. They don’t really work up to a normal ramen shop efficiency but you can’t really expect this outside Asian to be honest. If they maintained this standard, I will come again. Hopefully they will...

DISASTER dinner & service: We had a dinner on August 3rd 2024 and all I can say is that I will NEVER COME BACK! First we've got drinks without an ice and once I have asked the waiter why we have got a warm cocktail with no ice there she said the ran out of it. Later we figured out that the waiter got us wrong cocktail and after we've told her she did not gave as a new one and we've paid full amount for it. We ordered tempura veggies which were 9,90EUR and all we've got is small bits of leaks & bits of little slicer carrots. That was an absolute disaster! We had also tuna bowl which was ok-eish but had one much better elsewhere. To say that we were super disappointed is an understatement. We are locals form Ljubljana in will never eat at this place again. I'm really sorry to leave negative feedback, but I hope that the owner will notice this. The starter and the tea were very good. I can't tell how the main dish (Ramen) was, because it never came. We asked twice when we could expect the food, and we got the answer that our food is preparing and that they are only two people working (I noticed more staff). We noticed that people who came after us were getting their food, and a few had already left because they finished their meal. After 70 min of waiting, we asked to pay. The waiter asked us what our main dishes were, and he told us something totally different. I can accept if there were not so many people working and they missed the order, but it is not acceptable that we asked more than ones and we got the answer "your food is preparing, its coming" and as it turned out, our order was not even registered...
