Marina Beach Steak house — Restaurant in Adeje

Considered eating here and we were cornered by the street vendor outside the entrance who was working to entice customers to dine in. Listened to her pitch with genuine interest as we had intentions to go in. We are a family of four with two young hungry boys who were looking to dine out for the evening. However this lady bent down to our youngest son and produced a lolly pop from her pocket. She asked my son if he’d like a lolly, to which he obviously replied yes, as he's 4. What 4 year old doesn’t want a lolly while on holiday.. She then snatched it back and proclaimed that only good boys who eat in the restaurant get a lolly. You can imagine the obvious disappointment this caused. This was a sly move, deliberately pulled to cause disappointed children so the parents feel pressured to eat there just to please the kids. Fortunately for us our boys are both reasonable and it didn’t produce the desired affect for her. We are next door instead. Same food, same menu. The staff went above and beyond for our children and when they had finished their meals they gave them ice cream decorated with sauce and sprinkles and as we left they then gave them two lollies each. Royal Beach next door is the place to go. Marina Beach would be better named...

Came here on our last day it was busy so thought must be a winner. I ordered a meat paella and my friend chicken in sauce. The taste was horrible I hardly ate any of it. The service was very poor no friendly conversation one word anwsers. We asked for the bill after trying to eat the food. The waiter asked was there I a problem and I said yes it does not taste very nice if im honest, I do not complain unless it's bad so it was not good. He just stared for a while and said nothing at all... not even a sorry can I get you something else just walked away with it. Didn't offer to remove it off the bill, my friend didn't speak up but his was awful as well. The view is great, but thanks for ruining our last lunch before going home. I would not recommend and will not be returning!! not sure how the reviews are so...

a guy standing in front of the restaurant lured us in, giving us 10% discount card. He said “this is 10% discount for your dinner”. But he failed to mention that this does not apply to Tapas and Daily offer, which we ordered. So we ended up paying full price. Which would not be terrible if the food was tasty. But the food was terrible - watery and sour tomato soup with no taste, squid rings with no taste, octopus with no taste, croquettes were slimy, pizza without tomato base. The only thing that was tasty was the medium rare siroin steak...
