Restaurante Royal Beach — Restaurant in Adeje

We have been eating here again and again on our vacations for 3 years and have always felt comfortable. Also because we were recognized. This year everything is somehow different. The man on the street recognizes you and greets you in a friendly manner. Yesterday, however, the staff at the table were very unfriendly and even annoyed (and not just with us). You didn't feel comfortable at all. The food was also anything but good as usual. It was swimming in fat and had little to no seasoning or was over-seasoned for another meal at the table. The parmesan is of an absolutely cheap quality and had hardly any flavor. What annoyed me the most was the disparaging repetition of which country we come from and after a while it really got on my nerves. What a shame, dear royal team, one less family to visit you. Due to the conspicuous remarks, we ended our evening there and went to drink cocktails...

The initial impression was positive as the front of house staff were very helpful and friendly and offered to change our initial choice of wine as it was not to our taste. There was nothing wrong with it so we declined the offer. Their was 6 of us eating. One of the meals that came out was wrong , 2 were fine as you can’t do a lot wrong with fish and chips apart from the cold chips. The other meal choices did not really match the menu description. For chicken breast stuffed with whatever read ‘ flattened chicken breast with whatever put on top ‘. We had a child with us who chose an ice cream option, the waiter said they had all available choices. Wrong they did not have the one we wanted and had to go to a supermarket to get an alternative. The waiters are so unorganised. They came to our table multiple times with different drink and food and we told them it wasn’t for us. The worst thing is I ordered a tomato salad and was served a tuna salad which I normally don’t eat. I then asked the waiter if it was a tomato salad when served and he said yes so I ate it even tho I don’t like tuna. When the bill arrived it said it was a tuna salad which we said wasn’t the thing we ordered. Then the waiter started to speak in Spanish saying I ate it so I have to pay that price even tho I asked the waiter before eating it. He started screaming and swearing in Spanish so the whole restaurant was looking. Wouldn’t recommend at all!!! Worst...
