I arrived as the sixth of seven people in our party. The first five already had 2-pint boot glasses of lager.
I asked the Spanish waiter how much those were and he said €5, so I ordered one too.
After mine arrived and all six of us were at least halfway through drinking them, a Chinese waiter came over and said “The boots are €7.50, not €5” and then walked away. We thought he might have been confused or we were misunderstanding.
The seventh person of our party arrived and ordered just a basic pint.
The Spanish waiter had now finished working and the Chinese waiter brought our bill with the boots on at €7.50.
We disputed it, saying all six people drinking those had been told it was €5, and asked how one basic pint was €1.50 but 2 pints in a boot was €7.50.
This resulted in the Chinese guy just standing there screaming at us that the cost to the bar of buying the boot glasses was huge and that we’d been told before we were given the drinks that they were €7.50.
We made the point we weren’t buying the glasses, just drinking the lager out of them, and that ultimately, we’d been quoted €5 prior to ordering. I pointed out that I’d arrived after everyone when they were halfway through and I had also been quoted €5 so his claim we’d been told the €7.50 price prior to the drinks arriving was proveably false.
He just kept screaming and screaming at us, to the point we just stopped trying to reason with him and said to bring a bill with the drinks at €5, as we’d agreed, or we’d pay nothing at all.
After more screaming at us, he eventually brought a new bill and slammed it onto the table. We paid, left, and were blanked on the way out.
Imagine overcharging by €15 being worth it enough to risk 7 one-star reviews and the impact on the reputation of the business who employs you. Imagine even trying such a scam just to gain an extra €15.
Pathetic, terrible conduct and I’d urge anyone reading to just go somewhere else.

Read moreSome of these kind of restaurants can feel pushy (think Paris where they almost drag you inside to eat) or tacky (plenty of options but none really great).
This place is none of that! We had an amazing time here. Very kind and cheerful staff with a healthy dose of humor. Quick service. Good cocktails for a proper price. Partner started with garlic prawns. The only thing might be better next time is the cleaning of the prawns.
It is one of few places that serves paella for 1. Partner indulged himself by getting the lobster paella. I think he died and went to heaven, it was that good. I was very happy with my entrecote, perfectly medium rare, fries and pepper sauce.
We were on a roll anyway, so we got some dessert aswell. Chocolate cake for partner, don't ask me where he had the space for such a big piece of cake! I ended up with a yummy tiramisu.
To end we got treated with my new favorite kind of drink: caramel wodka.
Don't ask how we ended up back in our airbnb, we were stuffed and had a proper food coma.
Hopefully we can return later this week for another round...
Read morePossibly the worst dining experience I have ever had!!! I would give -5 stars for this place. Stay away! Cocktails are just fine, do not expect to much. Me and my husband ordered hake, it was stinking and disgusting so we made a complaint. The Chinese waitress took our plates immediately just like she knew something is very wrong. They've changed it to a salmon, and I didn't feel it right either,so I didn't eat half of it,my husband either. We eat fish 3-4 times a week and I am a chef so I have an idea about the kitchen. Then I didn't want to pay for MY bad food, they did not care they almost gave us food poisoning. The Chinese woman turned to be so rude and ignorant, started to raise her voice and arguing with us. Very bad experience, I reported the restaurant! This place is...
