I ordered the mushrooms from the Tapas menu as a starter. As they didn’t offer the Paella for one, I opted for the fish pizza and french fries. The Pizza arrived with the smallest basket of French fries I have ever been served. I asked the server about the mushrooms & he somehow thought that I had decided against these because I had ordered the Pizza. He then said he would get these to me as soon as possible. When they eventually arrived they were cold and appeared not to have been cooked properly as there was water on the plate. The server didn’t return to my table until I had finished the pizza and fries but I could see from a distance him observing that I hadn’t eaten the mushrooms. I eventually got his attention and when asking for my bill I told him that the mushrooms were cold and were the worst mushroom starter I had ever had. He promptly went on the offensive telling me that I didn’t eat them quickly enough and that he personally seen them coming out of the oven and I must be wrong. I asked him if he was calling me a liar in front of other customers and of course he denied he was. He scurried off to get the bill and when he presented it he was charging for the mushrooms despite me complaining. The restaurant had some younger clients dining and not wanting to cause a scene, I paid the bill and left as things could have escalated quickly and being a tourist i don’t think I’d have won this one if it did. I would not discourage anyone from attending but be aware of how hostile this ‘manager’ can be if things are not right with your order. Suffice to say if this was at home, there would be absolutely no chance that I would have being paying for these and secondly I don’t think a server would ever tell me how quickly to eat my food. Read moreWe had dinner here and the two things I would point out are: The food is not really up to the expectations given the Google rating and the price. The paella was just okay, and the portion size lacked generosity. The waiting time was quite long — if you’re very hungry, it can be disappointing to wait more than 40 minutes between finishing your starter and getting your main course. —————
Just to provide an answer to the feedback i had from this manager of the restaurant = I’m not sure you actually manage to read full sentences in people’s reviews. When I mentioned the 40 minutes, it was the time after the starter was cleared away until the paella finally arrived. Unless basic addition is difficult for you, that means the total waiting time was more than an hour.
Secondly, my review was actually kind considering that your so-called “good quality paella” was served burnt.
I’ll stop here with one piece of advice: learn to accept customer feedback — that’s what helps you improve and deliver a better quality service...
Read moreI was looking for a restaurant where I could truly feel the Spanish spirit and savor authentic flavors. Google Maps suggested this spot as a hidden gem in the area – and it was absolutely right. Finding the place took a little effort, but once I arrived, I discovered a cozy restaurant with around 25 seats, intimate and inviting by local standards.
At first, every table was taken and the remaining ones were reserved, but a very kind member of the staff rearranged the seating to make space for us – a gesture that immediately set the tone for a warm and welcoming experience.
We ordered breaded prawns (simply delicious), octopus – without a doubt the best we’ve ever tasted – and, of course, their famous paella, said to be the finest on Tenerife. I can honestly say it was a masterpiece: both visually stunning and bursting with incredible flavor.
Highly recommended – a true culinary delight and an unforgettable...
