Was walking around Las Ramblas , trying to find something open during the mid-afternoon. I harshly judge google reviews and often won’t give places with low 4’s too much of a look.

I’m so glad I stopped here! The host/owner was so kind. Welcomed me in and gave me multiple options for a table to sit at. I never felt rushed or like a burden to the establishment which unfortunately has been nearly every meal in BCN. I chalk it up to being a solo traveler and I’m taking up a whole table &waiter attention (??? Idk) .

The beer selection is excellent, even though o wasn’t cruising for a midday buzz. The menu also was very enticing !

Beautiful bar.. Patatas bravas are delicious, there is a good selection of beers.. Wines are very nice as well. There is a small room down there to dance a bit, music and Djs are generally nice; we saw performances of Crocoman and his friends, very nice.. The barman Paolo is incredible really, this guy is like free advertisement of this bar, incredible memory and he remembers the clients even after several months so he provides you an ambiance of somewhere you know, somewhere you are familiar with; thus this vibe gives you the aspiration to visit this bar anytime.. We call it Eurocup place with friends beacuse we found this place randomly for the first time during Eurocup so we are like "yeah, let's go to Eurocup place." First day in Barcelona. Live musician on saxophone, great service, great beer, nice people. They didn't harass us to come to their pub. Get the Singapore on tap or other beers... We knew the food quality around downtown Barcelona and ate there instead. We also ate there last. Maybe not some super fancy place, but we didn't like the way the fancy place treated us, like trash, So we left and went to a place That we knew was not snobbish. CAÑETE is the place you better be extra high class and make your reservations. Otherwise the waitress will be condescending to you even if you are dressed up. So we left and were treated like humans at San Jordi instead...
