The food was quite good. Sadly the staff were incredibly rude to me and my friends.
We ordered our food and clearly went through each item stating what we want. I speak Spanish, so I was ordering in Spanish. Something we weren’t sure what it was arrived, I tasted it and i was immediately sure it was tatziki which i didn’t order. She argued this a lot with me. She then repeated the same “mistake” 3 more times. I was beginning to feel because we were speaking English at the table it was a “tourist-trap”. The person who seemed to be a manager told me we have to pay for everything as the chef has prepared it all for us. (Even the things we didn’t taste). In the end I had to argue quite sternly that we won’t be paying for the things we didn’t order. The staff were so disrespectful. When we wanted to pay our bill we were literally ignored for 30 mins like we didn’t exist. It was the most disappointing experience and one waitress kept rolling her eyes at me. It’s sad because the food was really delicious but if you’re going in peak tourist season...
Read moreAfter a day when we walked around and had a shop owner literally yell at my family for not buying something we were looking at we were just plain hungry. The other places menu looked a little bit too ordinary. So we kept walking and settled for this place. We were so surprised to see the nice ambiance, very very friendly waitress (Hallah) and great menu that’s very diverse. There is all kinds of meat and vegetarian dishes aswel as a fresh meat (you can literally see it on the display). The food was absolutely delicious!!! We had the Lamb Ribs, Hummus, Mezze Platter, Lamb Kebab, Chicken Kebab and Beef Shawarma. There was a miscommunication on our end with what we ordered and Hallah immediately rectified it, again it was our fault. Food was delicious! Not 1 grain of rice left on our plates. Very affordable. Couldn’t ask for more after a really so so first day in Barcelona. We will definitely come back 100%. Try the Lamb, the Hummus. Actually try everything if you have the time, you will not be...
Read moreAfter 2 weeks of eating nothing but spanish food from Madrid, San Sebastian and Barcelona, my family and I did craved for something mediterranean or Greek food before we end our 1 month vacation in Europe.
Luckily we stumbled upon this restaurant Hummus & Company at Rambla 67 Barcelona and was so very glad and happy that we did. We were welcomed by this beautiful server named Halla or Hala who looks like an actress.
We ordered Mezze Hummus, Humus con Ternera, Shish de Cordero C. Arroz, Shawarma wrap and costillas de corderc. Arroz or Lamb ribs with rice. I have to say that we enjoyed every single bite of our meal as they were all SO VERY VERY GOOD, considering the quality and the reasonable food price.
Good customer service by Halla and the guys, good food, reasonable price, what more can you ask for ? Truly highly recommended if you like mediterranean food !
We promised ourselves that we will be back to that restaurant a day before leaving Barcelona and try other viands...
