El Fornet - Pau Claris 190 — Restaurant in Barcelona

Warning ‼️⚠️⛔️ The incident : We were robbed at this cafe by a an old man wearing big sunglasses and a cap in his 50s accompanied by a middle age women wearing the same. They sat at the back by the toilets. The man reached out and grabbed my bag and replaced it with another similar bag so we could not notice. The disappointment for me was when we were asking for help from the staff and they almost without blinking or any empathy for my family (kids included), told us there is nothing that they could do for us and we should leave and contact the police. There was a CCTV SYSTEM in the store I asked the same African Spanish lady for help, she refused. Please be careful, as apparently the robbers were setting in the cafe without ordering anything, which I found strange.

Everything was good but I was upset because my backpack was stolen! I sat near the main door and taking care of the kids so that’s was an opportunity for the theft to steal it. Luckily there was nothing important in my backpack, a water bottle, wet wipes and lotions. Staffs were busy in the morning and they felt sorry for my experience. It’s my careless so tbh they couldn’t help me anything. I can see there were lots of backpackers and tourists in the cafe so just bear in mind the personal belongings.

Awful customer service, very disrespectful way of treating clients. We really like food and coffee here but everytime we are served in a way that makes us don’t want to come back anymore. Staff, if asked about the menu, many times come up with different prices and ways to serve food (for example serving sandwich with only tuna and if asked for putting some salad, says it has to be paid extra! Or instead of cutting the sandwich for you, they throw the knife on the tray for you to cut it).
