The staff were very unwelcoming, turning away lots of people if they said they didn't have a reservation, even though the restaurant was empty.
Even though we booked the reservation, he told us it didn't go through on their end due to possibly bad internet - luckily I had an email to show confirmation.
The young waiter didn't have a clue about the food or the wine when asked questions and was more interested in texting on his phone and chatting with the girl in the kitchen who was preparing the food.
When she brought the food out, she just chucked it on the table, no smile. The food was basic, not freshly prepared, and had basic ingredients, and the waiter told us the tuna belly was from a can! It was simply re-heated food, and therefore not good value for money.
When we tried one of the wines first to taste it, when we were ready to have the glass poured, and asked him, he said yes, then still kept texting on his phone, before we eventually got the glass of wine.
If I was the owner, I would be looking for new staff. Seemed like they were trying to run the business down, I feel sorry for the owner of the business. I can't understand why you would turn people away when you have so many empty tables. The only people that were accepted where people if they said they had a reservation.
The only good thing is the place looks quaint and very cute, which invited us in the first time.
Very disappointing experience and wish we...
Read moreIt is a bookstore from the outside, but tuck behind is a nice cozy restaurant. You will miss this place if you did not look closely behind those front windows. Definitely an insta-worthy place for all influencers out there
I had a sweet and lovely experience from this place. I love the ambience and atmosphere in this 105 years old bookstore. The restaurant is only 2 years old but they serve simple and delicious food, even their olives were amazing that I have to order 3 jars. The meatballs with cuttlefish, chicken wings with kimchi sauce and cannelloni were delish and flavoursome. The bread with tomato sauce is crispy on every bite. Meat and cheese platter was amazing and locally sourced. Bonus part, owner is so friendly and takes really good picture of us 😉😉
Without doubt, I would recommend this beautiful and...
Read moreI am speechless. This place is a hidden gem of the local culinary scene. Personally, I’ve had the honor of experiencing restaurants listed in the Michelin Guide, and while they were wonderful, none of them managed to do what this place did – make you feel the warmth of a true family atmosphere.
Anyone who visits this tucked-away little restaurant with a bookstore will naturally feel like a guest of the Quera family itself (my apologies in advance if I’ve made a typo in the name).
I’m not a critic, more of a bon vivant, and I usually never write reviews. But in this case, I simply couldn’t resist.
It’s beautiful, unparalleled, and I absolutely must return tomorrow for at least a glass of wine before my flight.
There’s something magical about this place. Thank you so much for letting me be a guest in your...
