As I was strolling leisurely through a lovely afternoon from a lively bookstore with a cozy café, I stumbled upon a charming little restaurant that reminded me of home. I quickly scanned their tempting menu and spotted something I initially decided to skip. I continued my casual walk toward the captivating Gothic area, but the thought of that dish lingered in my mind, persistent and tempting. I tried to resist, I truly did, and kept walking back to my hotel, convincing myself to call it a day.
Lo and behold, my cravings ultimately triumphed over my willpower, and I hurried back to the restaurant before their doors closed for the night. I quickly ordered the Sinigang Beef and asked for extra vegetables, happily telling the waiter to pay for the additional order. When the waiter later handed me the bill, I was pleasantly surprised that the extra vegetables were not included, and I felt grateful for his generous gesture.
The Sinigang Beef was homey, sweetly sour, and warmly welcoming. Each mouthful was a comforting embrace. The vegetables were cooked just right, their vibrancy bursting forth in a delightful intensity of green. Just days later—no, just a day later—I found myself returning for the Sinigang Pork, and it was just as delicious as the beef. The flavors, indeed wrapped around me like a familiar hug, that caused me and compelled me to come...

Read moreA total rip off. I paid 10 euros for the same plate I would have paid 6 euros for in Madrid. Also, the waiter was so sleazy that he made me think that the bottle of water that he nonchalantly placed on the table was the water they served for free. I never ordered this water. And when the bill came up, he made sure that I paid for that stupid bottle.
When I came in, there was no one! I should have known that was a sign of a bad resto.
The waiter was a blabber mouth.
And their tables were funky. I'm guessing that they used whatever thing that they could get for free that had some remote resemblance to a table and just conveniently placed a cloth over it.
