Foster's Hollywood — Restaurant in Barcelona

I expected much, much more. The restaurant looks very nice and for this reason me and my boyfriend always wanted to go there, also, the menu was interesting. However our experience there was VERY disappointing. We went there during the week, around 6 pm, there was only one lady working there, serving the tables, collecting the orders and I do not doubt if she was in the kitchen making the food as well. We sat and took our time to look at the menu, then we asked her for a suggestion and she didn't know how to help us. We ended up choosing the cheese and bacon fries as entree, I chose the steak and my boyfriend chose a burger. The fries came cold, my steak was not a steak but tree burgers that I truly believe were not made there (frozen ones), the salad came without any sauce and the staff didn't even bring us olive oil or salt, and my boyfriend's hamburger was not good as well. And to make the experience worse we paid 40 euros...

Disgusted with this place! Ordered wings. When bitten into they were still frozen. Sent them back and cancelled the new ones. Apologies from the waiter but nothing from the manager or chef. Had ordered a steak for main and stressed that it must be well done all the way through. Blood in a steak makes me sick. Informed the waiter of this ... chef sent out outter part well done but inside all bloody. Given the fact that they had already served us with frozen chicken wings I kinda thought they would be extra careful with the main but no! No apologies from management for the raw steak, had to send it back and do without. Felt sick at this stage. They still actually charged us for drinks and all. I had thought given the severity of the situation that someone would have waived the cost of the drinks. Let’s hope I’m throwing up tomorrow. Will not be eating...

This was my first time at this famously acclaimed restaurant and I had such high expectations that it turned out not being bad yet not being as good as I thought either. It just was okay. My meat was well done, just as I like it, but one of my friends' burger came a little bloody, so we had to ask for it to be cooked more. I ordered the smoked hamburguer, and the onion was perfectly done, the sauce for the fries was also really yummy! They also have a refill system if you order a soda, so fret not! The service was quite nice, there was this man whom was very attentive to us and very kind when we had to pay separately, which is always a pain. So props for that!

Would I repeat?: Yes, probably. There are still a few things I would like to try...
