We recently visited Honest Greens in Barcelona for breakfast with our teenage sons, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. Having first discovered this gem several years ago, I was eager to see if it still lived up to the fond memories I had—and I’m happy to say it exceeded all our expectations.

Atmosphere & Design: The moment you step inside Honest Greens, you're welcomed by a modern and vibrant atmosphere. The beautiful interior design, filled with natural light, greenery, and warm, earthy tones, instantly puts you at ease. It’s a perfect blend of contemporary style and cozy comfort, making it a delightful spot to start the day. The open space and thoughtful layout also make it family-friendly, which was perfect for us.

Service: The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed. They were knowledgeable about the menu, quick to offer suggestions, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. It's clear they care about their guests and are passionate about the concept behind the restaurant.

Food & Drinks: Now, onto the food—simply put, it was fantastic. The dishes are not only delicious but also incredibly healthy, aligning perfectly with the restaurant's farm-to-table concept. We enjoyed a variety of breakfast options, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The dishes were vibrant and flavorful, and there was something for everyone, including our picky teenage sons who couldn’t stop raving about their choices.

And let me tell you about the coffee—it was exceptional! As a coffee lover, I was thoroughly impressed. Rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed, it was the ideal accompaniment to our breakfast. Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or just looking for a great cup to start your day, you won’t be disappointed.

Overall Experience: Honest Greens is a true standout in Barcelona’s dining scene, especially for those who appreciate healthy, tasty meals served in a beautiful setting. Absolutely horrible and dehumanizing racist experience. I am writing this in English so more people know about this experience and can decide not to go to this restaurant. I go to Honest Greens in various locations across Barcelona, often have my lunch meetings for work at least two to three times a month, and promote it to my friends and family visiting this restaurant. But today, I have decided not to spend any of my money (and I will encourage everyone else to spend it elsewhere) at this restaurant chain.

Today, when I was about to enter the restaurant. The hostess came running frantically to me and started to tell me that I could not enter. I asked why, and she proceeded to tell me that Glovo was through the other door. I am a south asian man, she had stereotyped me as a Glovo delivery guy. To make it more clear how this is so absurd, I had a thin black laptop backpack on me, which does not in any shape or form look like a bulky yellow bag that delivery guys use.  I responded to her that I am not a Glovo guy, I am here to order some food. At this point, instead of apologizing to me, she continued to lengthy slow scan from top to bottom making me feel even worse as if I am not worthy of being at this establishment. and then she allowed me to go in. I had a business meeting so I proceeded, otherwise I would not have bothered to go in. At this point, she went to talk to another customer - completely nonchalantly as this is a regular thing for her to do. No apologies, no correcting of her behavior.

I have deleted the iOS app, and I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone. This will not be a venue for any of my business lunches either. I will not spend any of my money at a place that treats me like I am lesser than their other customers. Honest Greens, you will do better in the future with your other customers who are not white if you include diversity and inclusion training...
