Il Ritrovo Italy — Restaurant in Barcelona

As we had a long walk from Park Guell to La Barceloneta, my wife and I became hungry and we did a random stop for a quick bite.

We ordered a small beer, and an 'open burger' on a plate, which included a side salad (which was super fresh, better than most restaurants!), an 'antipasto' with 'grissini', which included truffle dip (I'd say 'tartufata', but they call it 'tuffa'), and a pesto dip. They have also brought a proper aceto balsamico di Modena (type of vinegar that is very popular in Italy) and -- home made olive oil from owner's husband! What a surprise that was!

And that is not all, after we have payed our bill (which was, to be honest, lower than expected - 25€, including cca 10% tip) the super-friendly owner offered us un aperitivo di Meloncello, which was also home-made (!) and super tasty. Yum.

As my wife says, we left the place with a happy-food-high! I truelly recommend this place.

Oh, and last but not least, the owner spoke Italian, which was also very nice :)

Para mí, este sitio es simplemente perfecto si te apasiona la buena mesa. Aunque se encuentra cerca de la zona de la Dreta de l'Eixample, tiene la gran ventaja de no estar en una calle llena de ruido, y aún así es muy fácil de localizar. Lo que más me gusta es su carta, que es bastante variada y donde han sabido especializarse en las tapas con un toque excepcional. He leído varias opiniones que coinciden en que, con la relación calidad-precio que ofrecen, dan ganas de volver cada día. Por alrededor de unos 20 euros, disfrutas de una comida y un servicio que realmente lo valen. Eso sí, si piensas ir a comer, te recomiendo que llames para reservar porque suele estar muy concurrido. Su decoración es excepcional y hace que la experiencia sea aún más agradable, pero sin duda, su terraza es el punto fuerte del lugar. La combinación de comida e instalaciones lo hace ideal para ir con toda la familia, y si echas un vistazo a las fotos que publican en sus redes sociales, se te hará la boca agua...
