What a disappointment 😔 From the moment I walked in this place was disappointment after disappointment. The owner needs to either train or get rid of their staff here because their behaviour was very appalling. Upon arriving, there is a sign with “please wait to be seated”. I waited at the door and watched as the three waitresses laughed and ignored me, the queue behind me, and the tables full of dirty dishes. Dirty dishes were stacked on the counter and tables, food on the floor, but I was in the mood for something sweet so stayed. After waiting several minutes at the door while the girls ignored me, I asked them if they were closed or if I could order. They looked at each other and then rolled their eyes and pointed at a table for me to sit. After ordering a dessert and coffee, they gave me an americano with coffee grinds smeared all over the cup and saucer, and a pretty bland dessert. While I was eating this, I watched how they would laugh at tourists trying to speak Spanish, they would tell some customers they were closed and others they were open (it was 16:30 during the day). Other customers were also getting bothered by their behaviour… the girls just ignored the filthy tables, they served my food and sat it on top of a dirty saucer on my table, and then were ignoring people trying to get their attention as they gossiped. The owner needs to get these girls trained or just replace them because they lost at least 15 customers in the space of...
Read moreI was out for a gothic tour, and the tour guide recommended this place for their hot chocolate and churros, so I decided to try it out. Churros tasted really good; and, that was the best hot chocolate I have ever had! It was very creamy, and the whipped cream made it even more creamier! I was very impressed by this.
Since this place was delicious, I decided to come back a second time. got the same thing as before. I wasn't very impressed by the service the second time. One of the staff members seemed super grumpy. We were trying to look at what they offer (ex. pastries), since they have no hand-held menus, but the one of the worker's insisted that we sat down and ordered at the table. We ordered at the desk last time, and the workers were completely fine with that! It was just that worker though, every other workers have been nice and friendly! The atmosphere around the store appears old. It's a little crowded, and the tables are a little rugged, but it gives you the gothic feeling. I think this is great since it is in the gothic part of town.
