Huge huge thank you to these guys! We stumbled upon Popolo Nuovo Pizzeria y Restaurante Italiano after a long day exploring Barcelona, and it turned out to be the perfect spot to unwind. The food was absolutely delicious—perfectly crispy yet airy pizza, fresh ingredients, and flavours that hit the spot. But what really made the experience special was the service.

The staff were so warm and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. They were incredibly patient and kind to my energetic four-year-old (who ended up sprawled across the floor she felt so at home 🙄), even bringing over some coloured pencils so she could draw on the paper table mats and a rubix cube to keep her occupied (a total lifesaver for parents!). Everything came out quickly, but we never felt rushed—just a relaxed, easygoing atmosphere with great food and even better hospitality.

If you're looking for a place in Barcelona where you can enjoy amazing pizza, a great glass of wine, and genuinely lovely service, Popolo Nuovo is the place to go. We’ll definitely be back next time...

We visited this restaurant with high expectations, but unfortunately left disappointed. After being seated, we waited more than 1 hour and 20 minutes without receiving our food — and without any explanation or update from the staff. Several other tables ended up leaving as well.

I understand that restaurants can have bad days, and it seemed like something went wrong in the kitchen. However, the biggest issue was the complete lack of communication. A simple update or apology would have gone a long way.

I hope this was just an off day, and that the management improves communication with guests when delays occur. The place has potential, but our experience was far from what...

Yesterday with friends we first time visited the fresly opened Popolo Nuovo Restaurant with Italian food. We ordered a pizza with aubergine & stracciatella, burrata salad & goat cheese salad - which was really delicious! All the ingredients were very fresh! For dessert, some of us ordered tiramisu and some pannacotta to try on. Terramissu I like more! It was really like I tried once in Italy. Pannacotta was a bit too sweet for me.
