La cocina secreta — Restaurant in Cádiz

I have never been in a dirty restaurant like this before. The floor was covered in dirty spots on which you can tell that they were not just from the same day. Napkins were laying all over the floor as well and even a smashed cockroach. A lot of tables were still dirty. The people who worked there were very busy and making lots of noise with doing the dishes in a open kitchen. The floor there was soaked with water dripping out of the dishwasher. The one star is for the fact that they were one of the few at that point of the day that served churros. The churros were mediocre and fatty. This place deserves improvement on a lot of points. Especially on cleanliness. Because of this we lost our appetite completely and...

Llegamos a las 12.50 más o menos, pedimos refrescos y preguntamos qué tienen de tapas. Nos dicen que tardará como 20 minutos en calentarse el aceite de la freidora. Tengo que preguntar yo si hay tapas frías y me dicen que ensaladilla, así que la pedimos. Nos traen la bebida y nos dicen que ahora viene la ensaladilla. Esperamos un buen rato y no viene. Alrededor nuestra están sirviendo chocolate con churros, café con algún dulce... Y en otra mesa dos señoras se están comiendo una ensalada de la que, a pesar de ser un plato frío, no nos habían informado. Entro al baño y paso por al lado de una pequeña barra sobre la que veo un tupper grande de ensaladilla así que no entiendo la tardanza si ya está preparada. Cuando salgo me cruzo con otra de las camareras, diferente a quien nos ha atendido en la mesa y le digo que nos falta la ensaladilla. Parece confusa. Mi acompañante me hace un gesto y me dice: no tienen. Extrañada porque he visto hace un minuto un tupper con ensaladilla vuelvo a mi mesa y me explica que el camarero ha pasado por su lado un par de veces sin mirarla si quiera y ya ha tenido que recordarle lo de la ensaladilla y él le dice que es que se ha terminado. A la 1 de la tarde. A lo que mi acompañante le dice que por qué no se lo ha dicho antes cuando lo hemos pedido y le dice él que venía a decírselo. Ya llevábamos la mitad de la consumición así que mucha prisa no se estaba dando en avisar. No ha ofrecido alternativas, ni aceitunas que vimos que tenian otra mesa en la que estaban bebiendo cerveza, ni patatas fritas de bolsa ni nada. Imagino que lo que yo vi de ensaladilla era un sobrante, algo que no se podía servir, sus razones tendrán, pero qué menos que avisar, ofrecer alternativas... No me entra en la cabeza tampoco que a esa hora no tengan la freidora marchando y otro tipo de tapas que aparecían en su carta, como montaditos, preparados. Un...

Went there for a meal and the service was ok, but we had to go get them to order as table service was slow despite the restaurant being fairly empty. Meals were for tourists, everything was fried foods, and some of the tapas were not authentic (patatas bravas was served as plate of fries with ketchup, mayo, and a bit of oregano instead of the bravas salsa). Facilities were not very clean and no access to soap or paper toilet. We did not have coffee or churros, which is what the many positive reviews rave about, so these may be safer choices...
