Bar Nono — Restaurant in Cádiz

The name suggests "no-no", and when you walk in the interior is nothing fancy. When you see the menu, the price is so cheap and you wonder if this place should be seriously considered as the reviews suggest. Don't walk away as it would be a big mistake. The quality of food served will completely surprise you. While there are so many trendy "fusion" tapas places around here, this place is genuine Spanish, with fresh seafood and meat, perfectly prepared. The owners were very nice and friendly. Best value for money for sure, but even at much higher price we would have gladly eaten here....

We followed the very positive comments and went to Bar Nono and tried not to be stopped by our first impressions of a random bar in quite a cold atmosphere. We asked the chef about his specialities of the day and he took the tray from the fridge to show us what he had prepared. Then put our plates in the microwave. French fries included. It tasted ok (except for the french fries as you can imagine) but I would have expected that they would have cooked something fresh for us. We left and the kitchen behind the bar stayed clean and unused... very...

One of the best restaurant I've had in Spain!! It's a small place. Prepare to stand and eat, but it's very common for a bar here. This place looks really local, ppl coming in knowing each other. So it surprised me that the guy knows English. The service is very friendly and kind. The seafood is of generous portion and really fresh. And it's also quite cheap for its quality!! Great value for the money. 30€ for three ppl and we left with takeaway leftover. I would definitely come back if I ever come back to...
