I ended up at La Antoñita guided by Google, searching for something different after two dinners of seafood. And boy did I find a great place! La Antoñita is a restaurant with an hotel connected to it, but the quality here is really good. The oxtail crunchy rolls are one of the key dishes here, for good reasons: the meat is juicy and the purea accompanying them is delicious. I also had marinated Iberian prey tataki and pork duck cannelloni, which were good albeit not on the same level of the oxtail. The desserts also require a special mention, because they are among the most original I ever had! Their key dessert is the 'La Antoñita' Soap, made of creamy white chocolate accompanied by a soft spuma of lemon; absolutely brilliant! 😋 The chocolate cream airbag is also very interesting: a block of good chocolate mixed with a texture of olive oil that gives it a very peculiar taste. Their selection of Spanish wines is also very good and I wasn't disappointed by the two I choose. Prices are also definitely good: for oxtail roll, a main course, dessert, and wine I spent 34 €. Nice and fair! Overall, La Antoñita is one of the best restaurant choices you can find in Madrid, absolutely...
Read moreI recently went to La Antoñita with my parents while they were visiting Madrid, and was overwhelmed with how wonderful the restaurant, the service, and the quality of the ingredients was. The plates were delicious -- you can tell great care is taken to select the finest quality ingredients, as even the simplest of dishes (like the tomatoes) are packed with delicious flavor.
Other plates worth ordering are the rice, the carrilleras, the bacalao, and, of course, the "jabón" dessert!
The service is also wonderful; the staff was nice, attentive, and friendly. The decor is also nice, and I applaud the design team for incorporating some older elements (like the stone tub in the washroom) as well as the dining area within the corrala of the building. I have already been back again, and will be sure to keep La Antoñita on...
Read moreDon’t even bother to go there the service is suoer unfriendly and the food we ordered was not good for a place that saids to be fresh market kitchen the food tastes anywhere from fresh I ordered the tomato salad and it was horrible you could taste that it soaked already all the dressing all I was left with were vinegar like tasting tomatoes and the patatas bravas were awful as well not rightly cooked! I am spanish and I know how spanish food is prepared this was far from it! This more a tourist trap than an authentic restaurant. But the worst was after we left our comments about the food all he cared about was giving us excuses! So this will the last time I will ever put my feet in there! They get one star for the presentation of the food...
