Where do I start!! For only coming to Madrid for one night I was very stressed about where to eat. Madrid has so many options that seem great but this place happened to be close to me and have good ratings.
I went around 9:30/10pm and was worried I wouldn’t get a spot but I was made space by the waitress, only wanting a few minutes.
I ordered the potatoes, tuna salad, and the cow rib. I also got the chocolate mousse to finish.
The potatoes lived up to the hype! They were perfectly fried with an amazing blend of sauces. The tuna salad was the perfectly fresh, crisp, and the ginger tied it all together. The cow rib came with mashed potatoes and some type of delicious spice that tasted like mesquite but better. The rib fell off the bone and melted in your mouth!! I am not a guy who likes fatty meat but with this, I could not get enough. The dessert was a delicious chocolate mousse with a cookie crumble that, I was worried, would be too simple, but it somehow tasted very caramely and tangy.
Did I mention I had three different wines to accompany each round of dishes? Each was so perfect for the pairing, especially the dessert wine (suggested by my waitress!).
Hania the waitress and the chef, who I think was named Ermano (sorry if I misspelled it), literally made my whole trip. I can’t recommend this place enough!! I will add that the price is very on par with the quality food and service! Do yourself a...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic. The staff was amazing, so welcoming and personable. We would have enjoyed our meal even if the food had only been mediocre, fortunately it exceeded any expectations.
We had the prawn croquetas as a starter. We had no idea what to expect but they were a great precursor to the rest of the meal.
My wife had the mussels which were a special for the day. She loves mussels and are a frequent choice, best she has ever had. The sauce was so tasty she tried to drink it like soup, fortunately we had some remaining bread so she didn’t have to completely embarrass us.
I had the Costilla de vaca asada. If I lived in Madrid I’d be back as a regular just for that rib. I wish I had the words for how much I enjoyed it, succulent, fall of the bone, mouth watering. As good as the mussel sauce was the rib had to be the star of the show. Beef rib is so hard to cook where the meat and fat are delicious but the 36 hours they cook the rib was totally worth it.
We then finished up with the chef’s recommendation of the Pannacotta and he nailed it. So light and fluffy, perfect pairing to finish out a meal. Only regret was not having 2nds of the both the rib and pannacotta.
Thank you for making our quick visit to...
Read moreThis restaurant was absolutely incredible and the best restaurant my buddy and I have been to so far in Madrid. This restaurant was excellent in all areas: the food was outstanding and flavorful, the staff was extremely friendly and you could tell genuinely cared about their customers, and the restaurant had character with different paintings from local artists. My buddy and I ordered the fried broccoli and cauliflowers, patatas brava (made with yuca), salad special of avocados, tomatoes and mangos, and lastly the lomo with chimichurri. All were excellent but of particular note was the fried broccoli and cauliflowers and the lomo. The fried broccoli and cauliflowers were absolutely incredible especially paired with a Greek yogurt sauce. The lomo was well prepared and the chimichurri sauce was unique and had a nice spice too that created a strong and amazing flavor. The service was also top notch, they were attentive and made you feel like family. They all spoke English well too. Our waiter gave excellent wine pairing recommendations and gave us a free wine tasting of his favorite wine paired with the lomo that complimented it perfectly. He also gave my buddy and I free shots at the end. Would highly recommend this...
