Horrible turist-oriented approach. Tourist trap. Drain&EasyGain. Looks nice, like other bars in neighbourhood even more natural than others thus no fancy front ornaments, but unfortunatelly people working there are rude (read further about my adventure), incompetent and trying trick you. First: prices . On first sight looks attractive in comparison to neighbours. But finally appeared there are 4 different price lists/menus. On front wall (best prices) , on wall above main bar (about 0.5-1.5€ difference)on, on menu on tables (about 1-2€ MORE difference) , on wall menu inside main room (again differ from outside one). Yeah ok - its normal that the price could differ when you take a table or sit on the bar but if they trying to scam me when i know this rule its pretty nasty- they count my highest price on the bar! Second: Dont ecxpect to get a tapa if you order a beer. Beer is very expensive for 200ml glass 2.5€ Third:Menu . Looks spanish but its not. The real dishes served here , with well known spanish standards names, are completly different in preparation and taste. I.e patatas bravas with glue sauce made with flourish, low quality potatos baked with pork lard to topup flavor. Taste like Hungarian cuisine except low quality ingredience. They have interesting position in menu orejas - pig ears. But to prepare this well ears need to be marinated about 2days and well cleaned before. Otherwise smell when fried and are chewy, hard to eat texture, not crispy. THEY bill you for all additions like bread or tipos. Fourth: dish quality : we have ordered Gambas al Ajillo. Hard to spoil dish if you hv decent ingredience but unfortunatelly they did it! Our schrimps were stinky, used oil cloudy, garlic ROTTEN and in SAME TIME some, burned to charcoal and taste bitter. No petersillie even when i asked to add. On my notice waiter told me that there are no such addition like petersillie and smell and taste are appropriate(how did he know without tasting??!!). I hv tried one schrimp and returned the dish and there loud complains on me have started from staff side(waiters and cook). Some spanish comments were rude and highly offensive therefore we decide to leave but no without problems: a. prices billed were from "table menu"(we sat on the bar) b. They billed gambas which was returned. Argueing was necesary because i refuse to pay cheated bill. Finally i have to tread to call guardia civil or POLFA (fiscal police) and then they passed. My...

I did not know how this place has such high rating but it’s definitely a tourist trap. I went around 7pm on a weekday and there were still a few empty tables. I took a seat at the bar because I was alone but the lady that greeted me had the most horrible attitude. She looked like someone forced her to come to work, without a smile and had an attitude like I need to beg her to serve me. I tried to ask her question but she didn’t even bother responding and just gave me a look. The guy waiter was a little better and took my order. I ordered the pig ears and the mushroom.

I was halfway done with the pig ears when I saw a cockroach on the counter. A COCKROACH ALIVE AND ROAMING AT THE BAR! Mind you the counter is where all the food is at not covered. That means that roach must’ve been all over that food!!!! How disgusting is that?

I’m immediately stood up and stepped back and forgot to take a picture. I told the waiter. I was leaving immediately and to cancel my mushroom and to give me the bill right away. He started saying some thing in Spanish about how the place is smoky (I assume) and hence the roach. That is NOT AN EXCUSE! The sanitation in this restaurant need to improve and so does their customer service.

This place ruined my whole trip in Madrid, probably the worst meal I ever had in Spain, it was horrible.

And not to mention it’s cash only but there was no sign anywhere it’s 2023 and literally every place in Madrid takes...

First of all i must say that they are screwed as they didn't know i was there with an international restaurant critic and food gourmet. And they just witnessed the worst experience of their lives. That place better look out for international level reviews on papers and on websites.I read the newest comments and really glad that i am not the only one who had experienced a really discomforting environment. There is a big guy there i don't know if he is the owner or just works there but he hates tourists or just all people in general. We were nothing but with a smile on our faces ordering food asking how he is doing. The way he put tables on the table was like he was throwing those at us.We even gave a tip at the end he didn't even say thank you or goodbye, not looking at our face at all.No one deserves that behaviour..If your problem is with tourists just put on a sign saying that you only serve to locals.WORST EXPERIENCE EVER BECAUSE OF THE...
