La Panera Rosa — Restaurant in Madrid

I recently dined with a couple of friends and we had an outstanding experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with excellent customer service. The staff was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to care about making our dining experience memorable.

One of the most impressive aspects was that the food looked exactly like the pictures on their menu. I stopped by for a quick brunch and ordered the pan con tomate with coffee. Unfortunately, several aspects of the visit were underwhelming:

🚫 First, I asked to add Iberian ham to the dish, as shown on the menu — they told me they didn’t have it. Earlier, I had tried ordering the Argentinian meat empanada, and again, they were out.

☕ When asked if I wanted coffee or tea, I chose a cappuccino, only to be informed afterward that it comes with an extra charge, which wasn’t listed anywhere on the menu. I accepted anyway, but transparency is key.

🍅 What arrived on the plate was a tiny smear of tomato pulp, barely enough for one slice of bread, and two sealed packets of olive oil. It honestly felt like I was handed a DIY kit, not a finished dish.

I visited this place with my friends for late lunch. There were two wegetarian options in the menu, unfortunetly only one avilable. The wege burger was just a bun with burger, no sauce, no wegetables. I asked for no tomatoe and it was the only fresh wegetable I get. It goes with coupe of baked potatoes, artichoke and hummus. For 12€!!! My friend and I ordered mohito too. I get mine nearly immediately, my friend was waiting, and waiting, and waiting... We were served by all waiters in the restaurant - we had na impression they are afraid of us and avoid us becouse we are foreigners. We were trying several times to summon them to our table. When we finally get the bill the service was like waiting for us to go and leave the change. Sorry, no tip for that service. We left disapointed and hungry. Two stars for...
