Checking out a Mexican restaurant in Madrid - Takos 📍 I was amazed at the number of Mexican restaurants in Madrid. I got al pastor tacos, tinga tacos, and an alambre. Would you try this place? - - - - - - - #mexicanfood #madrid #madridspain #visitmadrid #travelmadrid #travelspain #madridcity #sanmiguelmarket #saladedespiece #visitspain #travelawesome #traveladdict #passportbyforbes #letyourmindtravel #condenasttraveler #departuresmag #bbctravel #vacations #mydomainetravels #travelgram #travelaway #forbestravelguide #voyaged #postcardplaces #fodorsonthego #beautifulmatters #traveltips

MOST AMAZING TACO PLACE IN MADRID. I've been to Madrid twice and have gone here 4 times in total, so. 1. Experience Review: This is one of the few places that has salsa picante (spicy salsa) with their food. This place has a LONG LINE (so be prepared to wait like 15-20 min in line at minimum) to get in because it's so popular, and as a result, the waiters will try to move you out of the restaurant as soon as you're done eating. It's not rude service, it's called "you're costing us customers if you're sitting here in our small restaurant not eating or ordering“ so be prepared to move out once you finish eating. People like to hate on this practice because they aren't familiar with how it works and they aren't thinking about the many other people eager to order. Think of others, eat your food, and move along. It's common courtesy! 2. Food Review: My personal favorites are the pastor, sudadero, and arrechera. But all the tacos are incredibly flavorful. Note: the tacos are very small, so you'll want to order probably at least 5 or 6. My sister and I got 6 and 7 last time we went and we could have eaten a few more each, so we'll be ordering 8 and 9 today. I can't emphasize enough the flavortown experience of these tacos. They're incredible. Unless your tastebuds aren't working, you'll understand why there's such a long line once you've eaten here. Their tinto de verano is also great.

These are the best tacos, my mouth is watering just thinking about them! Came because of the glowing reviews and was not disappointed. I got (3) Arrachera tacos (classic diced skirt steak), (1) Pastor taco (marinated pork containing pineapple), (1) Tinga de Pollo taco (shredded chicken in chipotle sauce), (1) Chorizo taco (cheese, chorizo, potatoes). The Arrachera was by far my favorite and the Al pastor was a close second. Each of the tacos I got were €1.50 minus the pollo and chorizo which were 1€. I also got an arrachera quesadilla to share with my friends which was €3.5. If you come here, do not forget to use the sauces (+ limes) they provide, they are absolutely delicious and complete the meal in my opinion. The quesadilla was extremely cheesy so a little warning to those who like less cheese. Also, beware of the line! We waited 45 minutes which was pretty ridiculous. I ordered more food than I usually would because once you get off of line you must get back on line to add anything else to your order. This worked out in my favor because I’m a small girl with a big appetite and 6 tacos and a 1/2 of a quesadilla ended up being the perfect amount for me. My total was €13 (after getting a drink) - an amazing deal for the quality, and was unlike any place I’ve ever had. If you are in Madrid, you MUST stop here!

We started standing outside the restaurant twenty minutes before open, and it looked like that was a necessary measure as the line really quickly wrapping around the corner. If you’re planning on trying this place, highly recommend that you just show up early to avoid a much longer wait. We ordered 3 of each type of tacos to try the full variety and particularly enjoyed the al pastor, suadero, and arrachera. The tacos tasted fairly standard, nothing crazy or outstanding. Being from a city so close to Mexico, perhaps I’ve developed high standards for tacos. Some of the portioning was inconsistent, where one or two of each taco type would have significantly less meat than the others. The interior looked like a very traditionally mexican cantina, with flavored sodas as reflective lights to give the walls many vibrant colors. Service was great and the food came out quick; just find a seat after ordering and the waiters will call your name and bring your order to you.

Takos. Yes takos because tacos they are not. They look like them, but certainly don't taste like the real deal. It's unfortunate and rare that I leave a review like this, but it is what it is. Anyone who says that these are legit tacos, have never had a decent taco. The reason we went here was because of an "LA native" review we read. Poor soul must be from the wrong part of town. I waited in line longer than I'm comfortable with only to be greeted with the lackluster taste of these tacos. They didn't taste at all like any Mexican tacos I've had. They had more of a middle Eastern or Indian taste to them. The arrachera was HEAVY on I don't know what herb. I couldnt even taste the meat. The al pastor which is what they're apparently known for fell way short of impressing me. The service was quick, the atmosphere was nice (reminded me of mexico), the tacos LOOKED good but definitely were not. If you're visiting Spain, stick to the cultural food. It's way better.

Affordable tacos with amazing taste. Definitely worth the hype. Each taco is from €1.20 to €1.50, and we tried one of each (excluding the vegetarian one). I'm not certain which was which, although the waitress did go through them when it was brought to our table, we forgot. Some were definitely better than others but they were all good. The ordering took the longest time, but the queue wasn't very long when we arrived around 3PM. When we sat down, the queue was quite long, but it kept fluctuating as when we left it was very short. The cashier is very fast and efficient and does well to keep the line moving. I wouldn't expect it take more than 30 minutes even if it was very busy. After you order, you take any seat and the employees will shout out your name to bring you your order. The food came out very quickly and there were plenty of tables available to sit at despite being busy. We paid under €30 total for a ton of food and it was amazing.
