Terrible place to stay. The walls are paper thin. We could hear the people in the neighboring room snoring, talking and partaking in other loud activities. In the room next to us, starting at 7:20am on New Year's Day, we could hear a child crying and yelling, a woman loudly face-timing (we could hear the other person) and a guy yelling. We called the front desk to complain and the noise didn't stop. We went down to get our breakfast after 8:30 and said something to the guy at the desk. He said he called them but we had never heard their phone ring. We told him that they didn't stop he shrugged it off because "they are Pakistani." He said they were there for another night and offered to change our room. The rooms are seemingly clean but when I put something on top of the wardrobe clumps of dust came down. The air vents in the second room were caked with dust. The wardrobe doors were long gone and its laminate was peeling. The paper laminate was peeling from all the trim in the room. It needs to be updated. The room was quite hot. The thermostat dial had no indicator and turning it had no effect so we turned it off and opened the window. The included breakfast was decent but nothing to rave about. Centrally located in the shopping district. Within 20 minutes walking of most of the cultural locations of the city. We recommend visiting Madrid but not...
Read moreMy family and I had a great experience at the Petite Palace Madrid. Firstly, the front desk staff were all very helpful with all our questions and/or doubts. Alicia, the manager, was wonderful, as was the rest of her staff. They also provided greats tips and suggestions for us, various times throughout our 5 day trip. Their kind and welcoming service definitely made our stay better than a regular hotel experience.
The hotel itself was nice. There wifi was dependable the entire time - throughout the building, including the basement. The rooms are on the small side for 3-4 guests, but our plan was not to stay in the hotel save to sleep and shower, therefore we were satisfied. The rooms were cleaned well daily.
Its location is just off the main avenue, providing walking distance to various areas in the area - and close access the taxi’s and the big bus station for local and Day excursion access.
They office a breakfast which is either including in your stay or $12. It’s basic but gets the job done with various options, if you are either arriving earlier than check in and/or want to get breakfast quickly before your day out in Spain.
This hotel is definitely worth staying in while in Spain due to the rate, location, and staff. 100%...
Read moreThis hotel is deceitful in the pictures they display on their website. The room is much smaller than the pictures indicated and felt very cramped in quad room, and the bathroom is in serious need of a renovation! There was black growth on the inside of the shower, as well as the caulking needs to be redone. The water seals on the shower doors were all torn up and the doors could not close all the way, as a result every time you took a shower, the bathroom floors were soaked. Sleeping here at times was also uncomfortable at times due to the fact that Air conditioning was terrible, and we slept in a warm room and often woke up in a pool of sweat. When it came to breakfast, one girl of the staff was rude to my family and told us we couldn’t eat, even tho it was all laid out and ready, because we had to have an early start that day in order to join our tours. I arrived during the day, during breakfast after 9 hour flight, and asked to eat breakfast, and offered to pay, I was told no, and watched them throw away a fully laid out breakfast in front of my face! This hotel was rated as a 3 star, should have been 1.I will not be staying here again in my future travels to Madrid, it was a huge disappointment considering the high...
