My wife & I loved this place! This review is long overdue. We had rented a flat nearby in early May so walked by the gorgeous window many times. It was always busy but on our last day it was a little quieter so we stopped for a morning pastry and cafe. The young man behind the counter was friendly and fun. He talked about the city, explained the choices and talked with my wife (who used to be a pastry chef) about the chefs who created these amazing treats. We had a roll and a slice of Kyiv cake- Wow! This cake was developed by talented chef from Ukraine and it turns out a few of their bakers are from there as well. The flavors and complexity of this cake blew my wife’s mind and brought back many delicious memories from her past. Half the day later it was still on our minds so, hoping it hadn’t sold out, she sent me back for another piece for our train ride next day. It seems by some reviews some people are looking for a traditional cinnamon roll, which is so different for every country. Each one of these are a different wonderful experience depending on whether you like fruit, pistachio, biscotti, etc. All are very good. The cafe and wonderful staff are...

I really want to like this place. I’ve tried 4 times and it always misses the mark.

The lights, the display, the branding, the bakery at the back of the shop all look like good signs. The truth is, the rolls are exposed to air and foot traffic and whatever else makes its way into the small shop. By the time you get them, they’re usually stale tasting. 🫤 there are gnats flying around at times too. People sneezing, hovering over to get a good look.

And the price is pretty exorbitant especially for the cakes and the size. 5,90 for a small piece of cheesecake? 5,90 for a dry Oreo roll? I understand they need to cover their costs. I only wish they covered their rolls properly too.

The staff here always give the impression that they’re doing you a favor by taking your order. Not a pleasant experience at all. Wish them luck though. The concept...

Wasn't sure how the buns would be at nearly 9pm on a Tuesday (some of the other reviews implied they were dry)... Not so! Over an hour later back at my hotel and the last blueberry cinnamon bun was still soft and delicious! I don't know what those other reviewers were saying. Cinnamon buns aren't my go-to dessert but cookies are! And the chocolate chip cookie was fantastic! Perfectly crispy around the edges, soft inside, good cookie flavour, quality chocolate chunks. A winner. The decadent chocolate cookie was also good, very rich. If you're a cinnamon bun fan they're pretty good, if you like chocolate chip...
