The restaurant is simple, with a “Daily Menu” service, which includes starter, main dish, drink, and dessert. Service is excellent, everyone was happy and friendly. Helped us decide what to eat and were super helpful. Sadly the food was the main issue. Starter was quite frustrating. We had asparagus with mayonnaise and migas either eggs. The first was canned and not much else to comment. Second one was good, but nothing special. For the main dish we had Secreto, pork, and fried chicken; both had fried potatoes. The pork one felt a bit “old”, this, or it had lemon on it. Anyhow, we didn’t eat it all. Desserts were the best. “Tarte de Queso” and Brownie were delicious. I could eat only that. For the price, it felt expensive. When comparing to other restaurants we went, paying what we did for the food quality we received felt disappointing.

As a first timer to Madrid, we wanted to grab a bite to eat before we checked out the Prado Museum. We stopped in and immediately felt welcomed by the staff! They had a deal for 2 dishes, a glass of wine and coffee/tea/sweet for 22 euro and it was worth the value! They also let us try Madrid made liquor which was a nice touch to the experience! Highly recommend if you want to grab a quick bite or enjoy the atmosphere and drink!

We ate menú del día and honestly the food disappointed me. Three courses were promised, which we got, but the quality was not up to my expectations. The main meal's meat was chewy and the brownie felt like it was a day old. The atmosphere had more of a fast food restaurant vibe. But we ate everything and got our stomachs full.

The owner’s son was very kind and spoke to us in English. He described with detail the dishes they had that day. Many were traditional local dishes. It was more of a bar atmosphere with some tables, but great for a casual lunch. I had a caprese salad, one of us had the fried fish, and the other got the traditional chickpea and sausage stew. It was all good, but I highly recommend the stew! So delicious and comforting! We have a severe nut allergy in the family, and although they serve bar nuts, they were careful to keep things separate. It was a...
