Delicious lunch in a very nice outdoor setting. Our very kind waiter laughed at my feeble attempts to joke in Spanish. Both my wife and I had the menu del dia. My tomato salad with buffalo mozzarella was very flavorful. I couldn’t resist cleaning my plate with the bread. Then I had the stuffed eggplant, a delicious moussaka, topped with mozzarella. My wife started with a ratatouille with egg called a Pisto. Then she had a yummy fish stew. We traded plates halfway through each course just to share the goodness. My wife said the coffee was the best she’d had in Madrid. My dessert was a small crock of creamy yogurt and honey. The service was extremely prompt, and the whole meal was only €31. I highly recommend this café/restaurant. It is perfect for lunch after visiting the Prado.

Capuccino: perfectly served with cocoa powder on top We really liked the rice pancakes with eggs, bacon and guacamole. The guacamole balances the saltiness of bacon and the eggs are perfectly cooked with flowy consistency of the yolk. The egg caserole is recommended too! Good saltiness with a bit of sweetness from tomatoes. The pampitas (flat bread) are crunchy, fresh and warm (just got out of the oven). The bread filled with 3 cheeses are great, however, the bread was quite hard. Perhaps they could have used a different kind of bread/buns for it. But we liked the idea of filling it witj 3 cheeses and topped with ham and eggs. Local people are going and eating in this place. Overall, this restaurant is perfect for breakfast and brunch ♥️

Stopped by el 17 de moreto before going to el retiro park. This restaurant had very familiar breakfast items and also some unique options. I got the rice pancake and while it isn’t really a pancake it was very delicious. The rice was shaped like a pancake and flavored with peppers and tomato sauce covered in bacon and a poached egg. The eggs Benedict was was very good and pretty standard as eggs Benedict’s go. The coffees were strong in flavor. This place has a very cute sitting area and we were in the shade the whole time which was nice because it was a bit hot but manageable in the shade. The servers were very nice and we received our food pretty quickly after ordering.

Very bad experience this morning, and a shame because the cafe is very cute and cozy with comfortable chairs (what I was looking for). The cafe was pretty empty and I requested to be sat in the window table. It was a 4-top table and I was only 1, so the waitress denied my request, however there were at least 4 empty 4-top tables. She continued to rudely refuse, so I took a 2-top table in the corner. I shortly after noticed a man return to his table, and he was alone, sitting at a 4-top opposite me.

Immediately after sitting down, I realized there was a blender within 2 feet of my head being loudly used. This carried on my whole time at the table. Within a few minutes, the waitress came to take my order. I didn’t know what food I wanted yet, so I asked for a cappuccino for now. The cappuccino was good. However, in front of me, the waitresses were singing and dancing to pop songs a few feet away. This made for an unpleasant environment especially considering I wanted to read in a quiet space.

To conclude my experience, the waitress never returned to my table to take my food order. I finished my cappuccino and not a single employee made eye contact with me or looked me way. I stood up and they noticed, and so I paid and walked out. They didn’t seem to care at all.

Very unpleasant experience and very rude staff. Avoid this place. I walked a few feet around the corner and waited for a table at Plenti. So much better, very busy but service was great and food & coffee...

AVOID. If you’re looking for a place that has incredibly rude staff, who are lazy and disorganised, then this is the place for you… after being told all tables were reserved, one became available and I sat down with my elderly parents. At that point I became suspicious of the lady in charge of the floor telling her colleague not to serve us. We were then ignored. At the same time another woman was asking for a table and being told the same thing. I speak Spanish so could understand. At this point we got up in disgust, and this appalling excuse for a human being tells the other woman asking for a table that they could sit at the table we were at and gleefully shouts “gracias” after us. Also to note this awful server had made another couple move from a reserved table to another unreserved table close by. Common sense would have told you to...

This is a good place, with great location. We came to this place only to drink something before the museum, so i don't know nothing about theirs food. After we sat (me and my girlfriend), the waiter guy passed us twice (i count times when he was free), i said hello twice, he didn't even say to me hello or anything, at the third time, my girlfriend just looked at him to get the attention, and he came to her and started to speak with her. It was clearly that this guy a little bit sexist, he doesn't even see the guys only the girls. I had to tell him that he should speak with me, because only i speak English and neither of us speak Spanish. We ordered two normal limonade for 4 euro each, there were ok, but after he got ours drinks, he pushed the hands of my girlfriend, so she spoiled the drink on her, but he didn't even realized it....
