An Experience to Forget

Our visit to this Italian restaurant was, unfortunately, a series of disappointments that began the moment we walked through the door. The hostess greeted us with a cold and curt attitude, far from the warm hospitality one would expect from an Italian establishment. The waitstaff were no better: except for one, the rest were notably unfriendly and unprofessional.

We waited an excruciating hour and a half for our food to arrive. When it finally did, one of the dishes was incorrect. Upon pointing out the mistake, they took it back without any apology or effort to rectify it promptly.

When we finally tasted the food, it was a complete letdown. The dishes bore no resemblance to authentic Italian cuisine, with flavors that lacked depth and ingredients that seemed subpar. To make matters worse, several of us felt unwell later that evening, raising serious concerns about the restaurant’s hygiene standards.

Adding insult to injury, one of our group members has mobility issues, and the restaurant showed no consideration for this. Despite having a door that led directly to the terrace, used frequently by the staff, they refused to open it for us. This lack of accommodation forced unnecessary struggles, which is unacceptable in any establishment claiming to offer a welcoming environment.

In summary, this restaurant failed on all fronts: service, food quality, and accessibility. We will not be returning and cannot recommend it to anyone seeking an authentic, respectful, or enjoyable...

Service was good. Ambience was very nice. They were great with toddler.

But man, when you have to send a lasagne back because the inside is frozen? And the waiter doesn't even bat and eyelash or apologise for delivering you a frozen lasagne? Not a place to return and indicative of the qualify of the rest of the Italian food we had there. Ginos does Italian better, and Ginos shouldn't be the bar. The only plus side to sending the lasagne back is at least they gave us a new (cooked from frozen) one, instead of just nuking the one they had failed to cook the first time.

You're going here for the service and the vibe, not the food. And the price is just too expensive for that as the food is...

I went with my family booking a table during the same day and we had not any problems. The environment was amazing, you can take a look to the photos. I really enjoyed the decoration. You will have the opportunity to discover good Italian music. The food was quite good. They do not have an expertise in pizza or pasta. Nevertheless, they can offer you a big variety of pasta, such is “pasta Al uovo “, “pasta ripiena” or classic pasta. They also offer a big variety of sauces, which you will not find in other Italian restaurants. I would like to recommend the rigatone with bacon and funghi sauce. Pizzas were better, in my opinion. Vegetables pizza was my favorite. Medium...
