I had the opportunity to visit Watts for breakfast, and it was a delightful experience. The place is clean, modern, and inviting. Since I was dining alone, I was kindly asked if I wouldn’t mind sitting at the high chairs by the bar — which turned out to be a great choice, as I got to watch the skilled baristas at work, crafting their coffee with precision and artistry.
When I asked the chef for a recommendation, two dishes caught my attention: the pancakes with bacon and eggs and the breakfast burrito. Coming from Texas, I decided to go with the burrito for an easy point of comparison. After enjoying my second latte, the burrito arrived — beautifully presented, though I didn’t manage to take a photo before diving right in.
The burrito was filled with perfectly scrambled eggs seasoned with chives and diced tomatoes — a simple but excellent combination. On the side, slices of fresh avocado added a smooth, refreshing touch.
Overall, Watts exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it, whether you’re visiting or living in Madrid — it’s a perfect spot for a relaxed and...
Read moreWent here because of all the hype seen on instagram and truthfully, was a little disappointed. While I am aware culturally that service in Spain doesn't mean a server who is gushing with enthusiasm, it would be nice if our servicer had had a little bit more politeness. That aside, we tried the pancakes and the breakfast burrito. The taste and flavors were great; however, the most disappointing part was quantity to price. When it comes to the stylistic option of being an all-day breakfast place, one of the American cultural components is size, is bang for your buck. This is not the case. The breakfast burrito is a wrap, not a burrito. The pancakes, while rightfully delicious, were a bit on the small size as well. It felt like an overpriced brunch place trying to act like an American diner but failing in two of the most important elements of an American Diner: service and size. Good, but not...
Read moreIt’s been almost two weeks since we had brunch at Watts and I just realized I never got to leave a review — probably because I was too busy enjoying the moment with my partner and our son. But today, I suddenly found myself craving those pancakes… and I knew I had to write this!
We had such a warm and cozy brunch experience. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive. One little moment I won’t forget: I was taking a photo of my son, and one of the waitresses gently said “sorry” for passing by — even though she didn’t have to. That tiny act of consideration says so much about their service.
And the pancakes? Just perfect. The smell alone was enough to make me smile — and the taste was even better. I’m definitely coming back… even if it’s just for that pancake craving!
Highly recommend for a...
