Jonny's Dhaba indian restaurant — Restaurant in Palma

As an Indian, I personally felt the food was not up to expectations and as we had hoped it to be. We had ordered medium as well as spicy paneer masala curries but instead we were given just really spicy paneer masala and my wife found it difficult to eat the curry. To top this, we weren’t given rice along with one of the paneer masala (rice included with one curry of your choice). So we had shortage as we had to share the rice with each other! This was so unbelievable as the curry in itself in not even a dish!

The channa masala was bland and lacked all the spices. We could just feel the flavor of boiled chickpeas and tomato purée. Nothing more!

Secondly, the mango lassi tasted really bad and stale. There was no taste of mango present but rather tasted more like turmeric water and unfortunately it was so hard to drink it and we had to throw it away!

The samosas were good and we were happy with the starter. No complaints there!

The worst experience I ever had! To start: I booked a table for two people 2 hours earlier. They made us sit just outside the bathroom even AFTER A RESERVATION. Here comes the bomb! Even when you are waiting for 40 minutes, don’t expect to get attention! Because when you ask for a table that you have booked or if you request them to make you sit outside after waiting for 40 minutes, you would get a rude reply. Forget about HUMILITY. Okay…I consider myself lucky, they made me sit outside but noooooo….. you won’t get your order even after struggling to get a table. Don’t dare to leave in disappointment because one of their waiters would chase you to ask for the reason and while he discusses your grievance, the other waiter would ask the first to leave you because you are ‘JUST ANOTHER CUSTOMER!!! …...Gentle REMINDER: “DON’T expect to get your food on time if you have not ordered your drinks”. I'm not normally disappointed by a meal at Jonny's. However, the last time we were there, we enjoyed our meal and asked for the bill and were told that we could only pay by cash. We have always paid by card when eating there so were surprised by this request. Maybe the credit card machine was down but in that case, we should have been warned beforehand so we had the choice whether to stay or go. Instead, my husband had to run out to find a working ATM which was not exactly close by and we had to incur a fee to use it as it wasn't one we could use without charges. It did make us wonder whether cash is requested when the restaurant wants to fool the tax man about their real earnings. Left a bitter taste in our mouth and makes us think twice about eating there.
