My favourite place for tapas in Palma. Unique, different, delicious tapas and the personal are very attentive and kind. UPDATE: As a self-proclaimed tapas aficionado, I must confess that the tapas bar scene in Palma de Mallorca is nothing short of vibrant and diverse. However, there is one gem that stands above the rest, a place where every bite transports you to culinary heaven: the renowned "OMBU" Tapas Bar. From the moment you step into this small, yet buzzing establishment, you are warmly welcomed by the super friendly staff who treat you like a cherished guest. Their infectious smiles and genuine enthusiasm create an ambiance that makes you feel right at home. I need to mention Ivan and Dalila, who have been incredibly attentive and friendly, and have been making my visit worth. As for the pièce de résistance, the tapas at "OMBU" are nothing short of mind-blowing. Each tapa is a masterpiece, exquisitely presented and bursting with flavor. Among the countless delectable options, the "Tartar con Trufa y Foie Gras" stands out as a favorite. This sumptuous tapa, featuring delicate beef tartar with earthy truffles and rich foie gras, is a harmonious symphony of textures and tastes that leaves you craving more. While the savory tapas are undeniably the stars of the show, the new dessert addition, "Made in Brasil," is a revelation in itself. This light and refreshing dessert is a delightful blend of exotic fruits and Popcorns (yes, you read it right!) , accompanied by a silky tapiocas that dances on your palate. "Made in Brasil" is the perfect encore to a memorable tapas experience, leaving you refreshed and satisfied. At "OMBU," the combination of outstanding service, unparalleled tapas, and an inviting atmosphere come together to create a truly unforgettable dining experience. If you ever find yourself in Palma de Mallorca, do not miss the opportunity to savor the culinary wonders of this exceptional tapas bar. It is, without a doubt, the epitome of best gastronomy at its finest.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at a tapas restaurant that not only satisfied my taste buds but also catered perfectly to my love for vegetables. Nestled in the heart of the city, this restaurant offered a diverse selection of tapas dishes, with a particular emphasis on fresh and flavorful veggie options. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted by the inviting aromas wafting from the kitchen and the vibrant atmosphere of the bustling restaurant. The menu boasted an array of vegetarian delights, showcasing the bounty of seasonal produce in creative and delicious ways. One standout dish was the roasted vegetable platter, featuring a colorful medley of peppers, zucchini, eggplant, and mushrooms, all perfectly seasoned and grilled to perfection. Each bite was bursting with flavor and freshness, showcasing the natural goodness of the ingredients. Another highlight was the spinach and chickpea croquettes, crispy on the outside and delightfully creamy on the inside. Accompanied by a tangy dipping sauce, they were the perfect blend of indulgence and wholesomeness. What impressed me most was the restaurant's commitment to showcasing the versatility of vegetables. From hearty salads to inventive tapas plates, every dish celebrated the vibrant flavors and textures of plant-based cuisine. The attentive service and cozy ambiance further enhanced the dining experience, making it a meal to remember. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating, ensuring that every aspect of my meal was enjoyable. In conclusion, my dining experience at this tapas restaurant was a true delight for any veggie lover. With its diverse selection of vegetable-based dishes and warm hospitality, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in delicious and nutritious dining.

Ombu is a fantastic gem that perfectly combines an inviting atmosphere with exceptional food and drinks. From the moment you walk in, the friendly staff and cozy ambiance set the tone for a memorable dining experience. The drinks menu is impressive—whether you’re into classic cocktails or something more creative, Ombu delivers. Each drink is crafted with care and balance, making them as delightful to sip as they are to look at. The tapas menu is the real star here. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavor, showcasing fresh, high-quality ingredients and a creative approach to traditional recipes. The portions are perfect for sharing, which allows you to sample a variety of offerings. Favorites included the Mini-Burger and Croquettes, but honestly, everything we tried was incredible. Ombu is ideal for an intimate dinner, a lively night with friends, or even just a quick drink at the bar. If you’re in the area and craving a spot that nails both food and atmosphere, this is the place to go. Highly recommended! Side Note: We also went for a breakfast the following morning, which was equally as great in terms of service, food and drinks

Must try tapas in Palma! The restaurant is located in the city center of Palma, and is her nice terrace with few tables and very nice decorated interior. We arrived without reservation and we were lucky that they gave us table for two inside. Staff is very professional and well organized. The menu, drinks and food was arriving very fast on the table. We ordered four tapas: Toasted bao bun with caramelized onion, shiitake and truffled burrata , Fried egg with truffeld potato foaum, Roasted aubergine with spicy sauce, cream of feta cheese, pine nuts and basil oil and, Mini burger. Our absolute favorite was bao bun, but the food is exceptional! For drinks we had sangria de cava and it was refreshing drink with fresh fruits! This is the place you don’t want to miss in Palma, as the ingredients are high quality, tasty food and the prices are normal. We can’t wait to come again and try the rest of the menu!

This restaurant was recommended to us by our hotel for a late lunch, and I'm so glad they did! The food was amazing. I had the pad thai with shrimp, which wasn't too spicy, but was absolutely delicious. I was craving it a few days later! My friend had the burrata and was very happy with her choice. My husband had the octopus carpaccio and he loved it, and said it was one of the most unique dishes he's had! I found it interesting, and enjoyed a taste, but wouldn't want an entire dish of it. Luckily, it was a pleasant day to sit outside. They had fire towers, but I didn't feel much heat from them. We were harassed a few times from people on the street trying to sell us blankets and other stuff. Overall, this was a delicious lunch & we would certainly go back again!

I had a small lunch sitting outside looking at the buzzing life of Palma. This is definitely not a typical tapas place - all dished is something special and it was difficult to choose. I had the Oyster with ponzu sauce and blood orange granita - the oysters were fresh, sweet and was given a nice kick with sauce and granita. Very tasty! The avocado and aburi salmon maki was also a very good experience - creative and fantastic combination of flavours. Although I didn't have room, I just had to try a desert. I had the cheesecake, raspberry pearls and sweet pesto - I never had cheesecake this way but.... wow! If I lived in Palma, I would come by every day until I have tried everything on the menu. Definitely the best place I tried on my trip to Mallorca!
