Indian Express — Restaurant in Puerto de la Cruz

We found this lovely gem of a restaurant after reading the Google reviews, and it truly lived up to the hype! As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was filled with positive vibes and nice music playing in the background. The staff and owner welcomed us warmly and were incredibly friendly.

When ordering, they suggested some great dishes and even customised them to our specific taste. As you can see from the photos, the food not only looked amazing but tasted even better. This was honestly the best Indian food we’ve had in Tenerife! It reminded us of the delicious food from dhabas back home — full of authentic flavour.

The paneer was soft and fresh, and you could really taste the rich spices in the sauces. Proof is in the pudding — we wiped our plates clean! We loved it so much that we went back a second time, and the chef made us a special paneer dish that was the best we’ve ever tried. The dal makhani was super tasty too, with that perfect creamy, buttery texture.

If you want traditional Indian food with traditional Indian flavours then please visit this restaurant. We went there last week while on holiday in the north of Tenerife. We were all inclusive at a local hotel which was very good on food but fancied a nice Indian curry. Looking on line we found a few locally and decided to give Indian express ago. So happy we did. Wife and I that is. On arrival we were met my a member of staff. We had not pre booked but we’re fine. We were introduced to the owner and were happily seated and our order was taken. Very friendly and very inviting. Food didn’t take too long a wait. I am a cook of Indian food myself am quite particular about presentation but more do about taste. My wife more so being a vegetarian. Please believe me when o say the food was totally amazing. Clean fresh and totally tasty. We ordered Daal Makhni, Naan, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Rice, and every bite was a treat. Everything is made fresh from scratch, and you can really taste the love and care that goes into the food. The plates were wiped clean – a clear sign of how delicious it was!

The prices are very reasonable, and the lively, welcoming atmosphere makes the whole experience even better.
