First of all, the staff are really friendly and it's a very homey vibe!
We ordered 3 different tapas as starters and when they came, we were a bit surprised that there was only 1 of each type on the plate. We were expecting 3 x 3 tapas. This could be our misunderstanding but a bit more info on the menu could probably help clear up any confusion. The tapas were tasty and looked really good!
For mains we ordered black ravioli with pumpkin and tagliatelle with wild mushrooms and truffle. The black ravioli was really good! A very interesting dish. The tagliatelle was a bit dry and lacked a little flavour, but I think it only lacked flavour because it was a little dry. I think the flavour was in there! So I think a little coating of oil could have solved that. It was still tasty and I enjoyed it though.
My partner had the mango cashew cake for dessert and the mango was amazing! The cashew middle lacked a little flavour though.
It looks like all the food is made from scratch so please be aware the portions aren't the biggest, but they are very good quality.
All in all it's a nice restaurant. I think they have potential and they're already making homemade food so with a little more flavour development, this place could be...
Read moreSo me and my wife are in Tenerife on holiday and via Happy Cow found Manipura plant based restaurant, and wow how glad we did. Firstly the food is the best vegan food I've ever tasted in 9 years as a vegan, we've visited twice this week and between us, have had 4 mains, Classic Burger and Spaghetti and Meatballs for me and Mushroom/truffle tagliatelli and Chorizo Risotto for my wife, and we loved every mouthful, so flavourful and fresh. We also had starters and desserts over the two visits, each exceptional too. But what top off and made our visit special were the staff, what a fantastic couple of front of house staff, so attentive, polite, funny and prefect hosts. Very reasonably priced, really all compliments to the chefs and staff. Wish we weren't going home tomorrow, I'd have tried everything on the menu. If you a vegan, try Manipura in Puerto de la Cruz,, you won't be disappointed. Oh and Hot Chocolate for starter isnt...

It's a lovely restaurant and the staff are super kind / friendly. Can't fault the service at all . The food isn't overpriced either and you can tell all the ingredients are fresh and most things are homemade with love / attention to detail !
Only thing we would say is the flavours could be stronger in the dishes . The ingredients are very fresh but could do with stronger seasoning / flavour to make it stand out. There didn't seem to be any or very little salt in the food too , which we feel enhances the flavour a lot. This wasn't too much of an issue as we could add our own to taste anyway .
Love the creative of the dishes though and the presentation is 10/10. Big potential here !
The raw mango & cashew cheez cake was really tasty on our...
