Had a fantastic lunch here with my parents after seeing a few dishes on the menu that were not the usual suspects that you get in many restaurants along the Camino. Seasonal and nice quality ingredients, a small menu that doesn’t try to shove in all the local dishes tourists might clamour for but focuses on what they can produce well, a thoughtfully chosen wine list of both local and international wines. If you’ve had time to taste the regional traditions to your hearts content, come here for a meal that builds on that tradition with respect and care to put out good plates. Bonito tartare - japanese influenced with the soy and sesame oil and very delicious Pan-fried mackerel - Perfectly pan fried, quality fish and simply dressed with garlic olive oil and lemon 30+ day aged steak from dairy cow (at least 7 years old) - they serve quality meat here: it was deeply flavourful from the age of the cow and the aging process but also tender Special mention to the wine which was beautifully aromatic and would have gone well with many other kinds of seafood in...

Outstanding!!! Brilliant place for lunch for a mix of land and sea dishes.

Recommended dishes: 🔥 Grilled Octopus 🔥 Dry Aged Sirloin on a bed of risotto 🔥 Croquettes

From the moment we sat down, service was excellent - attentive but relaxed and casual. We ordered the day's specials, written in chalk on a slab of slate. Every dish was a true delight!! Having eaten octopus in a lot of different countries, can say that the one from Salvaxe was one of the best cooked octopus I've ever had. Perfectly crunchy on the outside and not in any way chewy inside. The octopus came on the most delicious bed of mashed potato infused with cheese...

If you are looking for quality and good preparations for a meal in the central market this is, with abastos2.0, your place. There are other counters inside nave5, the building that is part of the market but now dedicated to hospitality, but definitely the tuna, ceviche, croquettes or rices prepared in Salvaxe are next level if you compare with the offer around. Pay also attention to the short but selected wine list by the...
