We have been in Spain for over a week now. We’ve been to Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia and now Seville.
When we enter an Indian restaurant, we enter with our expectations of nothing. But the experience here was horrible. We ordered aloo gobhi, paneer masala and chana masala in vegetables and specifically asked to keep it very spicy. Yes, there was an option.
When chana is cooked in cooker, without roasting, you get sweet taste. That’s what we got, the gravy had different taste and chana seemed to be from a different cuisine.
Matter of fact, the masala for all vegetables were same, and dressing was same as well. We paid 35£ for a food we did not eat.
It was one such food where you lose your appetite just by tasting. They are ruining the Indian spice reputation by making such food.
We called out the chef and tried to explain how he can make better food, but the guy wasn’t Indian or even Pakistani. He was Afghani. And despite being from an erstwhile land of spices, he had no idea how to make authentic Indian food. Plus he added “we can’t make food for one or two Indians. We make food for Spanish”
Right now I’m killing the pathetic taste by having coffee at BuenaBuelo. Excellent coffee.
There cannot be a rating lesser than 1 star so yeah.

Read moreI had dinner there last night and I must say that as an Indian, I am utterly disappointed. It is absolutely nauseating and appalling what they are serving in the name of Indian food. For starters, I ordered chicken tikka and masala papad. The papad was as soggy as socks in a puddle. As for chicken tikka, it is supposed to be cooked/baked in tandoor. What I got instead was tiny chunks of chicken in gravy, which is an absolute insult to the dish. For the main course, I ordered chicken balti with a side of naan. Usually at an Indian restaurant, if you order a main dish, it is served with a side of rice/naan/roti. Here, you have to order extra. The frozen naan I buy at Indian supermarkets tastes better than what I got at this restaurant. And the chicken balti just felt like recycled “chicken tikka” in a tomato gravy. The portion size is also not worth the money you pay. The only good thing about this restaurant was the mango lassi. Other than that, it’s an absolute sham. Do yourself a favour and don’t go here for...
Read moreOne of the worst Indian restaurant I have ever visited. I Came during the lunch but were given the normal menu, Just when the guy next to me asked if they have the menu el dia he handed him the paper with the offer for the lunch menu (which is of coursw cheaper than if you order from the normal menu). So I asked About the same, I have opted for the dal makhani, but after couple of minutes I was asked if I have ordered pollo (chicken) makhani..there have been some confusion. In the end they brought me my dal makhani, but it did not taste indian at all..rather like some lentils with a bland sauce (and I have a slight thought that they just took out the chickenfrom the sauce and only added lentils). Naan also did not look like from the tandoor and did not taste like it should so I dont know how they can have so many good reviews. Really try some other restaurant to save this...
