MI GENTE COLOMBIAN FOOD — Restaurant in Valencia

Went to Valencia for Fallas and visiting my mom, family friends highly recommended this Colombian restaurant and not doubt I can relate this is probably THE BEST COLOMBIAN RESTAURANT IN VALENCIA, food was just amazing same like when you visit Colombia 🇨🇴 me and mom had Bandeja Paisa as we are from Medellin and the quality of the food and the generous portions exceed our expectations, I’ll say may this is the best bandeja paisa I’d have in Valencia and England by far. As we were delighted for his good service with ALEJANDRO and the highest quality we came back day after because mom want to have some more food there and me too to be honest 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️ she went for Dorada fish and let me tell you this Chefs Knows what they doing, literally feels like being sat in Cartagena or Caribbean side having some nice fresh fish properly fried, I went for empanadas and Pandebono and once again TOP Quality. I could be here all day writing down our experience but hey why don’t you just pop in and enjoy THE BEST COLOMBIAN FOOD IN VALENCIA. We’ve been in Valencia for 2 years now and eaten in plenty of places locally. I won’t go into what I think of the local cuisine….🤔

We stumbled across Mi Gente by chance and tentively walked in and asked for a menu as there was nothing on display outside. Straight away we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the Colombian staff ( slight differences to the Spanish haha) They could see we couldn’t decide so as they brought out dishes to other customers made a point to give us a quick look and an explanation which was lovely!

The food was delicious and plentiful delivered with pride and cooked with love, I could tell! I tasted and felt a little bit of Colombia last night! We will be back….. maybe...

We tried twice to get in here for lunch. It is a very popular restaurant and we were in lines both times due to covid restrictions so unfortunately left. We finally went last night as it opened to secure seats, and WOW!!! We wish we had stayed in the lines through the day. The food is unreal, very very tasty and plentiful Portions. We had a starter, mains and drinks between us for €30. I dont understand how I have seen negative reviews for this place at all and really wish we had restaurants like this at home. AMAZING!!!!
