Número Uno Steakhouse — Restaurant in Valencia

The waiter was very nice and understanding, I guess he could see how bad the steak was. The steak (the black Angus tomahawk), was terrible. Ordered medium to suit the sharers, it came out stone cold in the middle and pre cut. We were the only people in the restaurant at the time, which was a worry.

The steak was cooked and not rested at all (we could hear it sizzling in the background, then pre cut and put on plate in front of us within 2 minutes).

For a 110 euro steak it was the worst I’ve ever seen.

Please, please if you like a decent steak do not go here. Meat market around the corner was fully booked, probably for a good reason.

It seems you can’t take complaints looking at your other responses as well as clearly not knowing how to cook a steak.

I am on holiday so there’s no purpose in going out to complain, it was a pathetic attempt at a steak.

the steak was raw in the middle and still cold, it came straight off the grill and cut and put on to the plate, with NO resting, who does that?

We also didn’t manage to get into meat market, strange that they were fully booked, and your restaurant empty?

We went to the beach to Quiosc Duana; which had an incredible on the bone ribeye cooked to perfection.

Great steak here, I highly recommend the ribeye steak as it was so soft and tender. It was a good and thick portion for one person and is cooked towards the rarer end. We also ordered the tomahawk steak which came well chopped into pieces and with the bone on the side. It was good but preferred the ribeye much more. It also came with a lot of fat on it so take note of that. The tomato salad was refreshing, a good starter. Loved the potatoes with meat and cheese sauce, it was tasty and savoury. The wagyu carpaccio was also pretty good, very soft meat with some rocket leaves. It’s not bad but not a must-try. First came a basket of bread with special butter - the bread was great and I enjoyed it. However, when we got the bill, we got charged 10 euros for the bread basket, which we did not order. I think they should have clarified with us that this was chargeable and not just assume we wanted it. The dessert was good, we ordered the cheese cake (only had one left during dinner time), and the apple crumble. Both were lovely, but I liked the cheesecake more. The atmosphere was pretty and quiet, and the staff were nice but quite slow and forgot to serve our drinks...

I was very excited to go here and really looking forward There were 3 of us We ordered starters 2 came quite quickly as just salads, My mango and blue cheese salad sounded great and looked lovely when it came but Not Good, 80% lettuce and the mango very small and blue cheese the same My friend had to wait around 20 minutes for her starter of potatoes

Then the main course The steaks were actually quite good My friends were ok with medium rare I wanted medium well done and it came red with blood , sent it back and came back the same

We ordered sides Mashed potato - cold and lumpy Cauliflower purée - no taste at all We ordered sauces Pepper sauce - absolutely no taste and watery Blue cheese sauce - same no taste Extra large vegetables - nice but cold
