Emperor's Wok — Restaurant in Colombo

I’ve been to Emperor’s Wok before and have always loved the food, but last evening was something truly special.

We had the joy of taking a few differently abled young adults from an home out for dinner, and the kindness and support we received from the team at Hilton made the experience unforgettable.

A week before, we informed the team that the children would be coming in wheelchairs and asked for a bit of extra support. What we received went far beyond expectations.

From the moment we arrived, the staff was there to help – assisting the children from the van, guiding their wheelchairs, and making sure they were comfortable throughout the evening. Their care and attention were constant and genuine.

A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Emperor’s Wok. Carol Jansz, who helped us plan everything, was incredible . She was thoughtful, kind, and attentive. She ensured the kids felt welcomed and at ease, even advising on the best portions for them.

Chef Ming also came out to greet the children personally, which brought such big smiles to their faces. That small gesture made a big difference.

Ishara, Shenick, and Navodya were equally amazing , excellent at their job , warm, helpful, and always ready to assist with a smile.

The children were overjoyed not just with the delicious food, but with the warmth and kindness they were shown. It truly touched all our hearts.

First of all, have to thank Hilton for bringing back an authentic Chinese restaurant to Sri Lanka.

I never have such joyful, contented Chinese food in any hotel until tonight.

I went alone, I finished half of the Peking duck, two dimsums, one vegetable, one corn soup. I was so full but I really couldn’t hold myself to finish them all!

The Peking duck! OMG! Really OMG! The best of the best in Sri Lanka! Crispy skin, juicy meat! Wrapped them up with the fresh cucumber and the special sauce. I couldn’t stop! It worths every penny you pay!

I never thought of going to Hilton for Peking duck until an ad popped up on instagram!

Chef Ming is a gem for bringing all these Chinese dishes to Sri Lanka! I’m from Hong Kong so I think I’m qualify of saying these Chinese food is really 100% perfectly authentic and ALL TASTE MARVELLOUS!

I tried the all you can eat yumcha as well. Needless to say- definitely will go back again and again and again.

Excellent Customer Service at Emperor’s Wok Hilton Colombo.

We had a wonderful dining experience at Emperor’s Wok at Hilton Colombo, made even more memorable by the outstanding customer service. A special mention goes to trainee waitresses Navodya, Nethmi, and Jennifer, who served us with genuine warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism throughout our meal. Their courteous attitude and friendly smiles made us feel truly welcome.

We also want to extend our gratitude to the restaurant manager (apologies as we can’t recall whether it was Mr. Prabath or Mr. Prasad) who ensured everything went smoothly. One particular moment that stood out was when we asked if we could take home our leftovers. Without hesitation, they kindly said, “Sure, we’ll pack it for you,” and did so neatly and with care a small gesture, but one that truly reflects their customer-first approach.
