Absolutely stunning view out into Colombo and into the Indian Ocean itself, whether night or day, scenic views aplenty.

Staff are a pleasure to deal with, chirpy and always happy to help or cater to your needs.

Food was hit and miss, but mostly delectable. Would recommend: The karaage Prawn tempura roll Nasi goreng Seafood fried rice Spicy battered mushrooms

The devilled and fried dishes are nice but considering the price and the lack of meat but the plentiful nature of vegetables. Does not seem worth it, but be your own judge, is flavourful just lacking in protein.

The drinks are pricey but the atmosphere lovely. Many people from many places seem to visit or be staying in the hotel. Easy to have a nice little natter with those around.

One major issue though is the taxes applied. 10% service TDL 1% VCH 18% SSCL 2.5% Therefore, a total of 31.5% tax on top of the bill, which I find outrageous.

So be careful if you’re buying a lot of pricey alcohol the wallet will end up in pain. I spent 30,000 with a companion, we did not even drink that much, but did have some...

I recently visited the rooftop bar at Grandbell and found the ambiance delightful. The food was both delicious and reasonably priced, and the service staff were incredibly friendly and attentive.

However, the experience was marred by the presence of numerous cockroaches flying around at night. It was both unsettling and alarming, raising concerns about the overall hygiene, especially in the kitchen. When I brought this to the staff's attention, they attributed it to the open-air setting, which I found to be an inadequate explanation—it's unlikely that cockroaches would fly to the 27th floor in such numbers.

While the food and service were commendable, the hygiene concerns make me hesitant to return. I hope the management addresses this issue promptly, as it has the potential to tarnish an otherwise...
