A very positive experience that I can recommend!

Hattori has been around for some years, but haven't lost any of its mojo. First thing when you enter is a stylish interior and good staff, who feel very genuine.

Most important is the sushi, tried the warm rolls of which were very well made - of course this is a bit Western inspired sushi, but sushi is a very wide range of experiences, and this is one of them and they do it well within this genre.

Vegetable tempura was also very tasty, perhaps it could be less battered - like in Japan, here the western approach is not a benefit - but in defense the taste of vegetables was still well preserved.

A couple of nice Japanese beers on the menu as well, these might not be the best beers as standalone, but they do fit the menu quite well.

Overall a very good experience that deserves the 5 stars I give it, maybe it would be a 4.7 if Google allow decimals, which is...

This restaurant is not authentic. Some form of deranged fusion food… please don’t call it Japanese. I’ve lived in Japan for long enough to know my tamari from my shoyu. The reviews for this place are truly perplexing…

The sushi in this place is doused in mayonnaise and sweet sauces to the point where all that is left on your palate is sugar and grease. The delicate flavours of the fish and the seasoned rice are entirely lost. The same with the fried chicken baos. Slobbered in utterly sweet, sugary glaze. It’s the old restaurant trick… hide mediocrity behind sugar and fat. I guess that’s good enough to fool the average Stockholm tourist.

When I pointed this out to the waiter, he unapologetically argued. Shambolic attitude. Taking feedback shouldn’t be this difficult. Decent decor and interiors though.

SEK 1400 spent on 4 small dishes and 2 sushi rolls. No drinks....

I respect the rules of the restaurant if they do not want dogs inside, but yesterday's situation was unpleasant. We came to the restaurant and asked for a table outside because we had a dog (a dachshund) with us, but they said that if we wanted we could sit at a table near the entrance inside. My dog barked, after which I saw the look on the staff's face and what they were saying about us and we decided to move to the street, to which the staff said "I also think it would be better this way. I'll bring you some pillows." Then she came out and said that we could not sit outside for some unreasonable reason. In the end, she directly told us that she would not serve us. It was very unprofessional to seat us at a table, give us a menu, and then after some time inform us that we would not be served at all because...

Without any doubt the BEST sushi in Stockholm! I walked in without a reservation, but the incredibly friendly staff found me a seat near the sushi counter, offering a fantastic view of the chefs working with a relaxed yet focused precision. The Izakaya starters are in a league of their own—don’t miss the Hamachi, which is beautifully balanced and absolutely divine. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and the execution of each dish is superb. Do yourself a favor and let yourself be surprised. The team here knows exactly how to delight you and leave you smiling! I enjoyed two outstanding drinks and finished with the plum wine and the flambéed crème brûlée-style white chocolate ice cream. A sweet ending to a perfect meal! 🍓

Upon seeing the menu here we actually ended up only ordering and sharing all the small dishes on the menu and my god we were absolutely blown away by the quality and the level of creativeness of the dishes. Based on previous reviews and pictures people seem to gravitate towards the maki's, rolls and the sashimi, which are excellent, but for the love of god people try these small dishes. We had the Halibut with cabbage and potato, Scallops, Korean inspired beef cheeks & chicken, shrimp and yellowtail. Quality was out of this world. Also the lady who was waiting us was really knowledgeable and friendly. I would certainly come here again to order the remainder of the dishes we unfortunately didn't get a chance to try this time 🥲
