Blown away! We unexpectedly stumbled across this restaurant and they accommodated us late night without a reservation. Hands down, the most outstanding experience from the moment we walked in and my favourite restaurant/food from the whole trip! We ordered countless oysters for our starter which were utterly addictive! Followed by the red wine braised ox cheek with truffle potato purée and it was absolutely incredible - so tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The presentation was beautiful, and the dish was rich and comforting. The restaurant has a very cozy, inviting atmosphere and the staff were attentive and friendly, heightening the whole experience. Seriously good value for money including drinks with a lovely wine menu! If you’re in Stockholm and looking for a spot that offers high quality food and wines with an authentic touch, I highly recommend Rolf’s Kök. Cannot fault it one bit - I’ll definitely be returning!

Omg. I came here for the ox cheeks that the head chef had been quoted as describing as "the world's most delicious thing" and I've got to admit that now I know what he's talking about. There's a very good reason the men sitting across from me at the bar laughed in a very "I'll have what she's having" moment whilst I ate this... finishing the entire plate of red wine braised cheeks of ox. This positively-unsuspecting ball of nomnom fell apart at the first touch of a fork. My reaction came before I even took my first bite. And the Swedish truffle puree that accompanied it was exquisite too, and I'm not even a truffle girl... Maybe because I've never had them this way before... I could go on and on about how it's an open kitchen and you get your bread served on a stick but yeah I'm gonna stop now and just say you must go here if you make it to Stockholm.

"Compact" restaurant in the center of Stockholm, between Vasagatan and Sveavagen. There are quite some tables inside, both high and normal; in times of no social distancing, it might be quite cramped. There are also few tables outside on the street. The grilled tri tip serving a bit too small than expected and compared to the other dishes ordered. In general, the portions are ok and the food is good. The service was very quick and friendly, there were not many people in the restaurant though. It was quite noisy the environment even though there were not so many people. It is a bit pricey, but probably expected give the location and fame. I went there with the expectations for a fine dining but my lunch experience was far from that. Probably the dinner atmosphere and menu is more what I had in mind

I had dinner here the day before the mid-summer celebrations, so things were even more quiet than expected during the Covid panic. This is an amazing restaurant. I've had the pleasure of eating here before. The menu is very short (always a good sign as it tends to show that a freezer and microwave aren't used), the kitchen is on display, the service is attentive, efficient and friendly and the food is very good. It's simple, unfussy and the taste of the ingredients are allowed to shine. This restaurant would do well anywhere in the world. It's not a cheap place to eat, but well worth the cost. Wine is very expensive, as always in Sweden. Total cost for a three course meal including two glasses of wine and a coffee was 834 SEK. Money well spent. I will revisit when back in Stockholm.

I had an exceptional dining experience at Rolfs Kök! The food was incredibly authentic, showcasing high-quality ingredients prepared with skill and finesse. The open kitchen concept allows guests to witness the culinary magic firsthand, making it a must-try for food enthusiasts. I highly recommend booking a spot at the bar to witness the kitchen in action, or opting for a table by the windows for a romantic atmosphere with views from “the top”. Rolf’s Köln have crafted a menu that beautifully showcases the flavors of each season, with ingredients sourced from nearby producers whenever possible. Overall, Rolfs Kök exceeds expectations with its dedication to plainness and quality, making it a must-visit destination for discerning food lovers.

We went to Rolfs Kök with my wife to enjoy few last evenings dining out before she gives birth. She had the dish with mussels which by guidelines is safe to eat for pregnant Women but woke up in the middle of the night to throw up due to food poisoning. She has been just recovering after 4 days. Pretty disappointing for a restaurant of the status of Rolfs kok. When we informed the restaurant they made it sound like it wasn’t their dish that caused this even though that was the last meal she ate before being sick and the doctor also said it’s food poisoning. Pretty bad form from them… Though the food was decent and the service was great at the time, we hope you are careful if you decide to eat there. Especially on seafood items.
