Hop & Vine — Restaurant in Stockholm

Great food and selection of drinks, but really strange staff. We were thrown out out of the venue for ending up being too many, without any attempt of trying to find a solution, offering an alternative table, or being allowed to add chairs to our table. The staff ended up being so aggressive that it all seemed quite funny because we really didn’t care that much about the venue or “proving our point”, but they jumped right into conflict, without much introduction 😅 In any case, we ended up finding this amazing place at Urban Deli, just a few blocks down the street. There is so much space, we could sit anywhere we wanted for as long as we wanted, and order as much or as little we wanted. Used to be a great place for board games and hanging out with friends. Sadly the place has changed from a board game café to accommodate business lunches and corporate after works rather than the hub it used to be. Portions have been made smaller for the same price and while the high prices used to be worth it when you could play a board game, it simply isn't the case anymore. Board games now cost 50sek/person/hour as opposed to being free before. The 50sek is deducted from your personal tab when you order in the bar, but this means if you are four people playing, you might as well buy the game and go home to play. Great place to play board games and awesome milkshakes! ♟️🥤 I wish some boardgames to be in a better shape and the milkshakes to be offered 24/7.

Edit2: There is a new approach regarding playing boardgames, and total game time. Every person needs to order something every two hours and you will need to calculate your time. You will then either need to order a second drink/food or you will have to pay 50sek per person every hour.

I understand that this is to solve the issue of big groups who used to order 1 drink in total and play for multiple hours but it might impact our decision to either visit Hop & Vine or go to a cheaper...
