Probably the best ramen I've had in Stockholm, and even internationally, it's pretty good! It would rank highly even in Los Angeles or San Francisco, and even in Japan itself it would probably be appreciated. I had the good, thick tonkotsu broth, highly recommended. Gyoza was also great, and do recommend getting extra pork slices.
But it's not all perfect:
I found three things wrong with the experience. They would be mostly easy for the restaurant to fix, so I hope they read reviews.
There is nowhere to hang or put coats. In the winter in Sweden, that's inexcusable. I wound up eating with a big heavy coat and hat in my LAP, in a cramped restaurant. Yes I understand the place has a barren contemporary esthetic. It looks cool, yes, but it's NOT practical in the winter. Please add some coat hooks on the walls---how much could that cost?? Or at least do the Japanese thing and put baskets underneath the chairs...
Please, ramen needs beer. Maybe not everyone wants that but I know a lot of people do. A license to sell beer is not an impossible thing to acquire in Sweden. For ramen of as high quality as you guys serve, not having beer is also.. inexcusable.
Wait staff needs a bit more training. I sprayed my seat neighbor (a Chinese gentleman I had never met before) with sparkling water (see above about beer...) because the can of water had frozen. Freezing sparkling water drives the CO2 out of the water so you have a bomb in your hands. What does this have to do with wait staff training? A restaurant aspiring to great things, whether in Tokyo or Stockholm, would not serve an unopened can of anything to guests. The waitress (because she did bring the can from the kitchen/storage) should have opened the can herself and spared me the embarrassment.
Finally... not a big deal but.. "Tokyo Ramen"? Tokyo isn't really know for its ramen is it? Sapporo or Fukuoka maybe...

Unfortunately I had a very bad experience here. First the ordering experience. When we first were seated we had to wait a very long time just to get someone to take our order. The restaurant is relatively small and wasn't crowded as we went after peak hours, so the only thing justifying that kind of waiting is that the staff forgot about us. Two other parties arrived, were seated, ordered and ate before we even got to order. After ordering it took an additional 25 minutes before the food come.
Now to the food. I ordered the vegetarian option and my friend ordered one of the chicken ramens. My noodles were undercooked, the broth was grainy and the vegetables were frozen. My friend said that the egg in her ramen was completely cold, despite being in hot broth, making me question if they use frozen eggs.
I won't be...
Read moreThere is always a queue to eat here(around dinner), but don't be scared. I personally think you wait a maximum of 20 minutes in a company of 4. But if you are 2 or even 1, it gets much faster to get a place. And it takes around 15 minutes to get the food. The atmosphere can be a bit crowded and you sit right next to everyone since the place is quite small. The food in comparison to other restaurants was a bit tasteless, but still enough to not feel overwhelmed in the end. The information about how to order was a bit confusing since there were two queues(inside from the mall and outside) and how to order the food. It would be nicer to have a description on the meny during in front of the queue that the waitress will come your table and give you your meny first and then ask for what you want to order. In overall, it's all...
